Usually, when Browner and Sherman are both playing, they take sides of the field. Sherman usually locks down the defensive right, while Browner takes the defensive left. But, they've also been known to change it up, so if they decide to just go full-on man coverage, then I'd expect you'd be correct. Browner would most likely take Andre, and Sherman would most likely stick on Nuk. Our tight ends and RBs are going to have to come up huge in the passing game, along with our stable of slot receivers.
Good to see Nuk getting some recognition. NFL Rookie Power Rankings for Week 3 1. DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Houston Texans Last Week: No. 5 Even as Tennessee Titans cornerbacks Jason McCourty and Alterraun Verner covered him tightly, Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was able to leap above his competition and make spectacular plays to lead his team to a victory Sunday. Similarly, his spectacular performance was enough for Hopkins to leap to the top of the rankings, even against strong performances from Richardson, Lotulelei and Manuel. More than any other rookie through the first two weeks of the season, Hopkins has shown the ability to put the team on his back and make plays for his team in the clutch. Hopkins leads all rookie receivers with 12 catches for 183 yards, and many of those have been challenging catches that required him to make tough adjustments against coverage. That was certainly true in the big plays he made Sunday, including his 25-yard catch in overtime that set up another difficult grab in the end zone for the game-winning 3-yard touchdown. thanks for the link.. some thoughts about the video: that boy catches errthing and makes it look easy. Also, he doesnt celebrate touchdowns ?
Can't ask more from a rookie WR! He will make his share of mistakes I'm sure but he seems to have a bright future w/ the Texans
Interesting read, even though it's from BR. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/741234-10-best-wide-receiver-rookie-seasons-in-nfl-history Anyone think Hopkins can make a 1,000 yards this season?
Without a doubt he can get 1000 yards. I expect him to. It depends on his consistency and the trust that develops and grows with Schaub. He's gonna have some rough games along the way, but this always happens with rookie WRs.
I assume you meant Deandre. But yeah, after his lock down of Boldin, it appears to be the a similar matchup with Hop. I think Nuke can do pretty well. Seattle's linebackers have trouble covering tight ends. Luckily for us, 5 of the 7td's have gone to our TE's.
I'm really happy to see Hopkins not make a big touchdown celebration. Dude is like 'been there done that' and it's refreshing to see a rookie act that way. The NFL is really brutal on most wide receiver rookies and it's starting become very clear we have true gem in Hopkins. Go Texans! Go Hopkins!
