Looks that A-Rod is a disappointment comparing to Lebron ?

I don't see any basis for comparing the two. LeBron is only 22-years-old and fresh off of single handedly leading his team to the NBA Finals.

People like to give A-Rod the loser/choker label. That doesn't apply to LeBron at all.

So to answer your question: yes, it does look like A-Rod continues to be a disappointment compared to LeBron.

Hard to compare the two- it's apples to oranges. Basketball is a game where one player CAN elevate a team to championship level (LeBron, Jordan, Hakeem, Magic). Baseball takes more than one person no matter how good they are. Even Babe Ruth couldn't take the worst team in MLB to the World Series by himself.

yeah so lebron didn't elevate his team anywhere. they'd played the easiest playoff schedule in history for the right to get swept by the spurs. that sure doesn't put him in the same bracket as jordan, hakeem, magic.

Except A-Rod is on one of the best teams of all time and baseball is the only team sport that the team really doesn't effect your individual performance.

In basketball, if you are on a sucky team, you end playing 5 on 1. In baseball, if you are on a sucky team, the worse they can do is pitch around you.

A-Rod is a choker and Lebron is living up to the hype.

Do you compare apples to oranges often?

This thread is a waste of space.

Yeah, A-rod pitched and gave up all those runs. If greatest teams of all time, you mean being 9.5 back and winning the wildcard, that sure is a great team. The yankees shouldn't even be in the playoffs. The Yankees has a history of the greatest teams of all time, but the 2007 Yankees were far from it.

That's a bad comparison, man... LeBron is... you know... and Jeter is...

    oh, c'mon... you know...

a basketball player and a baseball player?

    ;)

All kidding aside, there's no comparison... give LeBron 2 years and he'll have his championship...

Yea A-Rod should single handedly take the blame for the playoffs losses. Since he has 30 at bats per game and he pitches and he plays the outfield and the infield and he calls the plays.

truth is the nba is 5 on 5. one player can change the whole game, specially when lebron has the ball 80% of the time.

there are way too many factors in baseball. this thread makes me mad  . im not an A-Rod fan or a yankee fan or even a baseball fan. but the logic behind this question is ridiculous and it just makes me mad.

What's so bad about comparing apples to oranges?

What is sweeter, an apple or an orange? I find an orange to be sweeter than an apple, though certain varities, like blood oranges, are tart.

Which has more vitamin C, an apple or an orange? Clearly, an orange has more vitamin C.

See, I'm sure there are literally dozens of comparisons that can be made between an apple and an orange...

As others have said a single player in basketball has a much bigger effect on a game than a single player in baseball (except for that day's starting pitcher).

However, AROD will go down as a better player in his sport than lebron is his sport. imo.

One guy I know who works from me down the hall told the one Yankees fan I know (in person) that the series was all over for the Yanks when Lebron showed up with that stupid Yankees hat on in Cleveland. :D :D

EDIT - Damn, what a run-on sentence that was! Oh well...

The better thread about these two players is who is more likely to opt of their contract with their current team.

The post right before BigM's mentioned Lebron along with Jordan, Hakeem, and Magic.

ARod was 2 for 5 with a HR in the last game, hardly a choke job. If every player in the lineup had those numbers they would have won.
