Yeah, I can see where adding the best offensive player in the game is really going to hurt your chances.

What are you talking about... I'm a Yankees fan, and this is very good news that we resigned A-Rod. Yanks would be screwed if they didn't add another big bat to replace A-Rod.

Where is this coming from that he's "resigned" or "close to signing"? All I've seen are discussions...

Yeah, I haven't seen "resigned" yet, but I'm assuming when and if he does. More than likely it will happen soon.

i said it before, in baseball why do you single out one player and blame him for everything, its not tennis!

They are merely talking, and only on the condition that Boras isn't involved. I don't care where he goes as long as Scott Boras somehow getting screwed is part of the equation.

    Yankees 2007 payroll: $195,229,045

If you didn't have him in the regular season, you wouldn't even have a post-season. Oh, and I guess that guy Ted Williams sucked too.

if he got paid more than entire team, yes.

anyway, he's on my team, i can hate on him if i want too. go and tell me about how great Craig Biggio is.

Uh, not really sure where you learned math, but $195,229,045 > $27,708,525

If I was whining about 1998 Craig Biggio, yes, I would be comparable to idiot Yankee fan.

I have a not so bold prediction: as long as Alex remains as a Yankees, Yankees won't win a world series again.

This Yankees' brass never learn their lessons from past several years: sluggers can't win you any world series, especially those so called "regular season" MVPs.

I don't understand why ppl love this self-centered, money hungry, stat padding player so much.

    sign, I am pissed.
