I read today that the Wolves are listening to offers for Wally. The article said that the Wolves might pull the trigger if LaFrentz was involved. Maybe they would take Mo off of our hands for Wally and maybe a scrub or two? With Mo signing a one year deal for little money the Wolves would be able to let him go and be under the cap if things didn't work out or they could re-sign him this summer. This gives the Wolves a replacement for Joe Smith and maybe KG could get Mo's asss in gear. Wally isn't the perfect fit at the 3 for us, but he is better than anything else we have and he is close in age with Steve and Cat so they could grow together. Add Eddie Griffin, Tyson Chandler, or Eddie Curry (plus another 1st rounder atleast) in the draft and we are set:
    1 Franchis/Moochie
    2 SA/Cat
    3 Wally/WW/Langhi
    4 Griffin/KT
    5 Cato/Collier

After thinking about it, I am not sure that Wally is fast enough to run with us or if his defense is up to par. Do any of you all know more about him? His ability to shoot from outside and decent handles are traits thaty we are looking for in a 3 and he has them. I think that the key to whatever we do is the draft this summer. If we go into the draft with 2 or maybe even 3 lottery picks we are going to get better fast. I see atleast 5 franchise type players (Griffin, Forte, Curry, Wallace, & Randolph) and 5 or 6 all stars coming out this year.

wally is a nice player but i'd rather a high flying 3 that can light it up or play awesome D. terrence morris would be nice but that wont happen. and im not here to speculate but the point is when we need to upgrade at the 3 i'd rather have a 3 that is a multi dimensional athletic player. wally will be a solid pro but i dont think he'd be a great fit.

It's only 18 games into the season, with Mo signed for only 1 year and for the measly 2.25 million dollar exception, and it's already time to "take him off our hands."

We will absolutely not trade MO at this point. I dont think we'll trade him anytime this season because he's only signed for one year. The guy's got incredible offensive talent, and if he works on his other problems, and gets more accustomed to our offense, he will be very valuable to us.

According to my understanding, a player on a one year contract cannot be traded.
