Now I've been one of the posters around here that have backed McGrady and also dogged McGrady for his performance on the court but this is not what this thread is about.

I was reading Feigan's blog today and was just baffeled by the fact that some people actually were bashing Tracy for his choice in charitable donation. Even around here theres people who are just blinded by hate. Regardless of how he performs on the court or in the media, he is doing far more than many of us can say that we're doing. So in response I made this thread to commend Tracy on his contribution to people in need. Thank you Tracy for trying to make this world a better place for people who cannot do it for themselves.

Please do not flood this thread with your hate for Tracy.

TMAC's attitude on the court left alot to be desired but his off the court charitable contributions like this are to be admired.

    ^This.

People need to get over themselves on this board. So what if he takes #3?

If Hakeem's jersey was not retired, and Yao chose to wear it because he donated 34 million dollars to helping with natural disasters in China, would you hate on Yao?

That Game 2 at Dallas was McGrady's best moment here so far IMO.

Well, i would usually agree, nut the fact that T-Mac is paid 20 millions to go to doctors and to the gym and i actually pay 50 bucks to go to the gym and a lot to go to the doctor makes me think that he should be donating his full salary to the Houston Rockets organization.

No matter what, Tracy did help the Rockets reach the playoffs several times. He did something good for the franchise. Despite the playoffs failure, He did help the team during the regular season to be a good but not a great team. Kudos to Tracy, Hope he comes back and still become the same old productive player He was. If not, Hope He gets us a franchise player in return.

How much of Yao's salary is getting donated back to the rockets next year? I love Yao and think we should trade Tmac, but this line of thinking is stupid. Don't hate on a guy for getting injured.

That's usually naive - you don't ever get dollar for dollar value for your charitable donation. You're better off paying taxes than giving money to charity.

I still remember the 22 wins in a row. Without TMac, Rockets couldn't accomplish it.

I totally have an enormous amount of respect for what he is doing in Darfar, regardless of what I think of him as a player going forward, I think what he is doing over there is OUTSTANDING, and worthy of massive praise.

    5 stars JYD.

Thank you Mcgrady. With your 23 million expiring contract, we still have hope.
