A couple years ago I knew how to do this trick, where I would pick up a phone dial a couple of numbers (I think it was pound or something), the phone number where I was at, and then it would call back at the number. It used it as a prank to annoy my brother. Anyone have any idea how to do this, or at least know what I am babbling about? :D

Yea, I know what you are talking about.

I just tried it, and all I did was dial my number and hung up before I heard the busy signal. My phone started ringing and kept ringing until I answered it. When I answered it, I just heard these noises that went "da-da-da-da..etc".

The only problem is that if you have caller ID, it never registers at all that it is an outside number calling in....it just doesn't say anything.

I don't know why you can do this, but I know the telephone company from time to time uses this trick to see if your phone is working properly.

    :) I love that trick
955+number of whose phone you're using, hear dialtone, press flash, hear annoying sound, hang up, wait 15 secs phone then rings.

I've also found that when you pick the phone up(after it's ringing) and press flash again, wait a sec, then hang up, it rings again

Alright I tried both ways and I couldnt get it to work. Even the 955 thing wouldnt work for some reason. Maybe thats a Houston number only that works. I do remember though that I would dial a certain three number then my telephone number. Maybe the 3# was 911?:D

Back in the days I did this

Dialed 234 - last four digits of the pay phone, then hang up 3 times.

I doubt it works anymore because of the area code thing and most phones you can call back to. It worked 10 years ago, so I doubt it will work now.

Also, in high school, there was this trick where you can dial out to any number without putting any money in, but I forgot how to.
