I see lakers get a guy called Chucky whom I've never heard of and played as good as a pg should be.

I saw Lakers get Rush, and a big dude that can shoot the lights out, whom I've never heard of.

And I've seen Rockets drafted a whole bunch of former Knicks playing like idots whom everybody knows.

I just want to know who is doing the scouting for us? Why the hell we can not even have a legitimate pg for past 5 or 6 years?

    ???????????????

You've never heard of Chucky Atkins? You probably shouldn't have admitted that to a board full of die hard b-ball fans.

chucky atkins is barely a step up from ward.

theres a reason tierre brown made that team, and why they drafted a point guard, and why they tried to pry marcus banks from boston.

they have crap at the 1, same as us.

rush is good enough not to get his option picked up....we know someone in the same boat.

I thought the only reason they didn't pick up Rush's option was because of his chronic orthotic foot?

Their scouts are pretty decent, they managed to pull Sasha Vujacic, Brian Cook, and Luke Walton relatively late. And Chucky Atkins has been a serviceable backup, not much more.

Don't hate on Tierre, what's with all the TB bashing?

So who else did we miss out on in the 02 draft after Nachbar?

Just tack it up to the list of players our scouts or GM missed...again

Where is Dale Brown when you need him? Dale was the head basketball coach for LSU when Shaq and Chris Jackson played there. He was Lauded as a master recruiter, but not a very good coach.

Yeah, unfortunately there have been a lot more misses than hits lately. After Sam Cassell, Cuttino Mobley, and Robert Horry, I can't think of many non-lottery draft picks that have helped us. Even some lottery picks were busts (Eddie Griffin, Jason Collier).

It seems a lot of people aren't picking up options this year. Sometimes because they suck, sometimes because they're going to reevaluate how the new CBA affects them.

Tayshaun Prince, Carlos Boozer, and Flip Murray... I was calling for Boozer at the time.
