If the officials are allowed to look at replay at the closing seconds of a game, quarter, half... etc. What calls can they make? If, for instance, they are looking at the '97 Jazz vs. Rockets game 6 to see if Stockton's 3 pointer really made it before the buzzer, they will see that it did. But would they be allowed to call Karl Malone for bear hugging drexler and dragging him back toward half court? Is it only the shot that can be contested?
I don't think they would get to call the bear-hug. I think they can see if he released on time, if the shooter was fouled before time expired, and if the shooter was standing on a boundary line or the 3-point line, and nothing else.
