By looking at the rest of the schedule, it is becomming more and more interesting in the standings of the Rockets, the Lakers, the Timberwolves and the Suns at the end of the regular season. So, here is a prediction game proposal for the tip jar.

Predict the exact win/loss results of all four teams at the end of this regular season. Every miss will make you contribute USD$10 (RMB$83) to the tip jar. If you win all four, lucky you. If you are miserable at prediciton, USD$40 is all you need to chip in. The deadline for your participation is the tipoff of the all star game.

Please somebody remind us at the end of the season.

    Here is my prediction:

    Rockets 48:34
    Lakers 46:36
    Timberwolves 44:38
    Suns 44:38

    God help me:)

Pheonix will not do bad. They can do better than that.

The TWolves are going to do pretty well too.

I don't see the Lakers winning that many games.

And the Rockets, I don't know what to expect with them. :(

My prediction hings on the "great hope" that the Rockets are starting to behave in a basketball system. It also hings on the guesstimate that the Lakers seem to turn around. 48:34 for the Rockets is optimistic. That's just my wishful thinking. But 46:36 for the Lakers is realistic. IF, big if and only if the predictions for the Rockets and Lakers are both true, there will not be much room for the Timberwolves and Suns to be better than 44:38. The Timerwolves are about Kevin Garnett and Kevin Garnett. I just don't think Garnett can cary them all season long. There will be a down turn. The Suns are about Amare Stoudmire and Amare Stoudmire. If he doesn't keep playing like he did in January, the Suns will also suffer a let down. By looking at the reamaining schedules for the four teams, each team have quite a few games either against each other or against common tough teams. All my predictions are ust gut feelings. Just want to have some fun and be optimistic on the Rockets prespects, even though I am afraid Rudy will probabily spoil my wish again. If I stay pessimistic toward the end of the season, my drug bills will probabily be far more than 40 bucks;)

Rockets will not make the playoff, based upon their performance tonight. 42:42 will be the best result for this season.

48-34? that meant 22-13(62.9%) of rest seasons.

Man, you don't mean to jack up my drug bills, do you:D

Seriously, on a day like this, when our interier defense collapsed with a lethargic Yao and DNP Cato, the entire defense became pathetic. Then Twolves hit and hit and hit. You can blame the twins, and I wan't argue. But, what can I say? Les, are you watching tonight:cool:

Yes. And I am trying to be optimistic. It's my wishful thinking. However, there is a possibility here, even though the odds are no better than my recent visits to casinos (I actually win some there). Can I try to stay positive on Rudy for once? If I lose 40 bucks at the end of the regular season, then I will pick up my hata and blame Rudy again:D

Yea. But road games won't such a mountain when the Rockets start playing a team sports. Otherwise, it doesn't matter what games they are playing. Often road games are somewhat easier in a mental perspective for a good team.

Unless one of following happens, Rox will have trouble getting in playoff:

    1) Yao catchs the second wind and ride on it, and more inportantly, our guards let him

    2) Garnette has injuries

    3) Shaq has injuries

    4) that A$$hole Marbury running out of luck of hitting crazy shots

    5) Malone or Stockton run out of gas

    Check

    Not necessary.

The Lakers will make the playoff anyway.

Stoudmire is their MVP so far. The fair question is how he can keep up his sensational performance. They will have a slow down.

No matter how much you hate them, the Jazz will be in the playoffs.

Again, those are just my gut feelings. I agree the Rockets will fight very hard for a playoff spot. Like I said above, I just want to stay positive for my own sake. I guess I will have enough time to vent my hata in the offseason:D

I'm pretty sure that we're going to need virtually all of that to happen, unless we DUMP MOBLEY NOW!!!

I absolutely cannot believe that Rudy is going to let Cat take this team down with him!!!

Rudy's got no balls as a coach!! His coaching is about as courageous as Georgie "W" Bush in a spelling contest.

Stoudmire? What has he done lately? He is not going to recover soon. Until he improve his shooting skills, he is not going to see the day light like he did in Dec/Jan.

That's a 'good' news. No ill feeling. Without an effective Stoudmire in the paint, the Suns will have a hard time hanging tough with good teams. Let's see.

Personally, I can't afford 40 bucks, but I think this would actually help if eevryone just decided how much money they're willing to put where their mouth is, and chip in that way. If you want to trash the Rockets, and have $2 to spare, then bet $2. Just do whatever you can guys. If you have $40, go for it.

Thanks, Sane. Like you said, amount is just detail, we are here to support the Rockets:) And I want more fun, not more pain.
