I'm thinking about creating the NFL equivalent of a Utility Position to cover TE and FB since we have more than one candidate.

Cade Stover, British Brooks and Breven Jordan MAY have the skills to run, block and receive.

We already know Brevin Jordan cannot block.

Isn't this the H-Back? Or do you mean something different?

Kubiak deployed the Thor package with the great Casey . Thought it wasn't used as much as it should have been used.
Kubiak and the "pizz boys" were doing concepts here in 2009-2012 that have caught fire in popularity again.

*The Thor, TE at the FB

    * Bringing back the Pistol

    * Faux Jumbo package, versatile 3 TE sets way before the Patriots but the Victors write History.

The nomenclature has changes a lot since the T formation. So I don't know what you call a modern halfback. It may be closer to a scatback.

Not a halfback and I'm not about to try and explain it in detail other than he lines up off the line, so he's considered part of the backfield and gets moved around, so he acts like a tight end sometimes or a running back or goes in motion.

This wiki page explains it and credits Joe Gibbs with the innovation in Washington. I always remembered Frank Wychek being referred to as an H Back in Possum Holler (didn't realize he was drafted by Washington...also that he DIED LAST YEAR?!?!).

Are you thinking about something along those lines?

Sounds like the position I am thinking of. It's actually a way of replacing the FB with one of the TEs who has more flexibility. Stover is actually the guy I'm thinking of which could open up space for keeping British Brooks, who also seems like a fit.

I could solve it all if I could just keep about 60 players on the Active Roster.I think the others will pass through wavers. As it is, I think there are half a dozen who would get picked up off waivers.

    23 - 3 QB, 4 RB, 2 FB, 3 TE, 6 WR = 18

    QB1 Stroud
    QB2 Mills
    QBPS Boyle (not on 53)
Keenum to Coach save 1 roster spot.

    RB1 Mixon
    RB2 Akers
    RB3 Pierce

    TB1 Stover
    TB2 Brooks
    TB3 Ogunbawali

    TE1 Schultz
    TE2 Jordan

    WR1 Diggs
    WR2 Collins
    WR3 Dell
    WR4 Brown
    WR5 Metche
    WR6 Hutchinson
    WR7 Cephus

If Noah can't go, then Woods.
