This is why I was actually partially upset that we beat Texas last year. For some Aggies that is all that matters and it won Fran at least another year despite total embarassment at the Holiday Bowl. How anyone other than other teams that want to beat A&M can support Fran and his 3 play offense (not to mention 4-2-5 defense) is beyond me.
Trying to run the clock out with 2 minutes left so that they can go into halftime down 2 touchdowns...fumble...Miami TD. Then they fumble again on the following kickoff...another 3 points for Miami. 24-0 Miami
I certainly didn't think we'd get blown out mainly because the Miami offense isn't that good, but I knew our gimmick offense wouldn't work against a fast, athletic Miami defense. The thing I didn't account for was the 3 Turnovers in the first half.
I love A&M. If I am a top High School talent, no way do I consider going to play for Krispy Kreme Fran and his staff.
Well, if you were in high school and you wanted to run the same kind of offense and defense you run now and not burden yourself with needless added complexity, you might consider it.
Excellent point ... I was at the Holiday Bowl, and I guarantee I won't be at another game that Fran is coaching because it is completely pointless. Thank god Billy Gillispie salvaged A&M Basketball and I can avoid the Football team for a while. I love how the announcers keep talking about this as a breakout game for Miami and their QB. Its obvious that they are competing against a team that has no business being anywhere near the top 25. I still don't understand how we got there in the 1st place.
I am so mad at this! In past years, I just thought that we needed to give the Marshmallow Man time to turn this program around. Now I convinced that he is just inept. We really need to start from scratch. I just don't see him taking A&M to respectability. Not this year and not ever.
