A little help classifying this Bug please

    I have to make a bug collection for my environmental science class.
    Well just a minute ago I went to take the trash out and found this guy on the outside wall of the house.

    Usually, I'm not scared to touch bugs but this one freaked me out.
    Ive been doing a google search but has been unsuccessful. A little help please.

    Yeah I got that much, but I need the whole thing. family, class, order, species etc

    You might want to narrow your search based on where you live. If you live in Houston there might not be a lot of walking sticks that are native so that should help. Otherwise email your picture to the Houston Science Museum and see if they have an entomologist in house.
