    Suns loses to Nuggets today.
Blazers loses at home to Wizards today.
    Wolves loses to Pacers today.
Sonics loses at home to Nets today.

Even Rockets does not play today, we are now 1/2 more game ahead of these 4 potential playoff teams.

Don't overlook today games as it might eventually determine the seeding of Rockets.

    GO ROCKETS! :D

It is way too early to start watching the scoreboard. Besides on the flip side of your coin, the Mavs won and we're 1/2 game behind them in 2nd place.

Just sit back & relax. We have a long way to go!

If you look at the bright side, Mavs is 8-0 at home and has a point differential of about 15.5 points. Mavs just beat a team they should beat today.

Hey folk, though we are winning a lot of games, I don't think we are at the same level as Mavs. We are fighting for the 5th or 6th seed in the Western Conference while Mavs is fighting for the 1st seed in the entire Conference.

We are not ready to be a title Contender this year.

The injured player is Shawn Marion, not Amare.

Balanced Effort Paces Nuggets Over Suns
DENVER, Nov. 25 (Ticker) -- Without Shawn Marion, the Phoenix Suns had trouble stopping Francisco Elson and rookie Carmelo Anthony inside.

Elson set career highs with 16 points and 10 rebounds and Anthony scored 17 points as the Denver Nuggets routed the Suns, 110-80 on Tuesday.

"I'm happy, first career double-double in the NBA," Elson said.

Seven players reached double figures for the Nuggets, who set a season high in points en route to their fifth win in seven games.

"To win at home against a team like this is a good win," Anthony said. "But we got to put it behind us because we have Dallas on Friday."

Denver had a 5-2 lead when Marion, an All-Star last season, sprained his left ankle just 2:16 into the contest. The Nuggets extended a one-point edge after one quarter to a 51-42 halftime cushion, then pulled away in the second half, leading by as many as 32 points down the stretch.

"That was a real good win for us tonight," said Nuggets coach Jeff Bzdelik, whose team had 27 assists on 38 baskets. "We're beginning to share the basketball, which makes it easier for us. We had some defensive schemes that we put on tonight, and I felt that it hurt them a little bit."

Amare Stoudemire contributed 25 points and 13 rebounds and Stephon Marbury had 20 points and 12 assists for the Suns, who had a three-game winning streak snapped and failed in a bid to crack the .500 mark for the first time this season.

"They just killed us tonight, nothing else to say," Marbury said. "They beat us all across the board and in every facet. It doesn't matter about my stats, we just flat-out lost."

The Suns frequently were careless with the ball, committing 26 turnovers that the Nuggets turned into 28 points. Phoenix also was outscored on the break, 29-12.

"I never expected this ... the turnovers and the transition defense," Suns coach Frank Johnson said. "I didn't expect us to have 26 turnovers. We were just giving it to them. Christmas isn't until December 25, but we were giving gifts early."

"I guess the altitude got to them," Anthony joked.

My bad, thanks for the correction. Either it was reported wrong on FoxsportsSW or I heard it wrong.

You are welcome, I make the same mistake sometimes:cool:

Another good news is Heat beat Hornets today. I'm sure Jeff must have a good sleep tonight as long as Stan continues to win.

I like it because it helps people around here understand that our team is a contender this year.

    exactly. thanks.

we're three games from being out of playoff contention. there's way too many games left to get excited about power rankings and stuff.

I watched the Suns-Nuggets game briefly. Suns didn't play well at all, they look like a lottery team now. They're very disorganized and play no defense at all. Amare got to pad his stats in a blow out game and Nuggets was playing him one-on-one straight up. They did not care to double-team him at all.

    DearRock,

If you bet that we'd finish 5th, that's looking pretty damn good right now, especially with the way Minnesotta is playing. Ofcourse, they are playing without Kandi and Wally, so they may make a huge late season run, you never know.

However, it's beginning to look like 5th seed is actually a possiblity, and 6th is locked up.

Blazers are falling apart, Sonics are not 6th seed material, and the Suns aren't as good when JJ is playing in place of Penny.

actually, I believe DR is betting on 4th..an accomplishment that even this sunshineass homer doesnt believe....but top 6? yea,I could go for that.
Im just pleased to see the SUns struggling...and the Jazz are going to be great spoilers for a few teams that we have to worry about...
I just hope they dont spoil us tonight.

I also observed similar things from the few Suns' game I have watched. The suns run much smoothly on court when Penny is playing, don't understand why they let JJ start adead of Penny.

Every time I see the Suns lose, a part of me is almost thankful the rockets didn’t beat them out for the playoffs last season or else they might be where the Suns are. Their team is completely falling apart. It looks like the players on their squad just assumed that since they made it to the playoffs last season, that this season would be a lock. Doesn’t look like any of them worked to improve their game during the summer like all the Rocket players have.

Another part of me is thinking how the hell did the Rocket lose out to this crappy Suns team?

Before the season started - we all would have been happy with a 9-4 start.... it is progress - we're seeing our team grow - it does project out to 56 wins - -- - -- AND yes it's too early
