I've always liked the kid. He is a smart, bright young guy, who just happens to be a real loner. I've been hesitant to sing his praise in his first 2 years in the league, but there's little doubt left in my mind that this 21 year old stud is going to be an all-time great when he's done. To be this good, this advanced, at such a such age is incomprehensible. I know most people on this board have called Kobe overrated and overhyped. But I think those claims are a bit presumptious for an athlete that is so young.

Also here's a second tie in. Who would you rather have on the Rockets:

KOBE or STEVIE (Just for hypothetical sake)

    DaMan,

Great question, and since I have gone on record numerous times supporting the taller player over the shorter one with equal skills. I would take Kobe for Stevie in a Nanosecond.

Agreed. Kobe is the better player even if he puts up similar numbers to Francis. You can see that Kobe is a winner. It's written all over his face. He is very mature for his age and when you've got something between your ears, like he does, then you can go a long way. I love Francis, but there is no question that Kobe is the "da" man right now.

  4. Guys, not trying to bag on you here, but in the course of the last week, Ive had more than my share of Jordan threads on this fine Rox site. Now you want to put a Kobe thread???

At least put it in the right forum.

Thank you for beating me to that dreamshake99!

As for the question? Kobe is the easy answer. Give Francis a few more years or move him to the SG position and ask that question again.
