I have a different view of TMac's move to have season ending surgery. Don't misunderstand. I hate that it didn't come from the team, but I want to make the argument that it was best for everyone involved that he cut the season short and elected for surgery as soon as possible. The reason I say this is because it seemed like nobody had any idea how serious his injury was and that the team wanted him to get multiple opinions before cutting the season short. If he had waited like everyone wanted him to and gut out the season, he would just now be looking at having the surgery done. With that, he would be out for a year FROM NOW (May). That would mean he would not get to play at all. Even if the Rockets would still be playing a year from now and make it to the third round, you would be talking about conditioning issues much less if he is 100% healthy. By him getting it done sooner, the Rockets would benefit if he comes back before the all star break either to show he's got something left (use him for the playoffs) or he won't be the same (trade him to someone looking to unload salary). I would have to believe that if he comes back and shows any kind of fight, desire and explosiveness, people would welcome him back. What do you think?
I'm not trying to knock you or anything but as many T-Mac threads there are this could have went in one of them
Regardless of what your intention is, any thread dealing with Tracy will turn into a bashing thread at some point
If he gets healthy, fights back and integrates with the team he will gain the respect of many. Let's hope that something good comes out of all this.I'm skeptical about it, but I want him to pull through.
Yeah I noticed that. I think guys really miss him so much that they need to find a way to bash him. IDK we as fans should be glad we have a talent like him on this team. Better yet be glad WE MADE IT OUT THE 1ST ROUND. Took the Lakers to a game 7 with our stars missing.
he would not have been out a year....if he had the surgery done now he would have been looking at a return around the all star break.
all threads eventually turn out to be mcgrady discussions lol.......... anyway i really hopes he pulls off a dwyane wade , comes back playing at top form and really motivated to prove a point of course after microfracture this could be kind of hard to pull off. so i actually hope he comes back and helps the team win games, dont really care if he has to be a scorer or more of a facilitator, if he returns and helps us win games, even if hes not the superstar T-mac, but the efficient and talented tracy it will go swell, especially now that we have a very deep squad
T-Mac has an uphill battle ahead of him if he is going to stay. He would have to prove himself to the fans. I suspect he will be a bench player until he gets back into the flow of competition. I miss his playing. I thought he made the right decision in ending his season early to be back next season for his contract year but at the same time, he let many people down in the process. That's just me.
The part about people welcoming him back is true. Most people on here are band wagon. The hate artest thing came, the hate yao thing came, and the hate tmac thing is here. All they do is band wagon, so yeah, if he comes back and peforms like he should, everyone will welcome him back reguardless of what they say on here.
Yeah, Tmac helped us. His season-done benifit Rox, it makes we ran a better roster. But Tmac's surgey also hurt us,it limit our progress in next season if we cant trade her out.
It was funny how last year yall were all praising TMAC for everything he did for us last year. He got us to a 5th seed. Yao Ming this year had a waaaaay better team then TMAC did last year. I think TMAC will comeback strong next year. Give the guy credit for working his ass off to comeback to make the Rockets a better team.
