    1) Anyone have a link to the NBA teams' current players with stats?

    2) Anyone have a good defination of what the various positions are? I played and watched basketball for over 40 years and have a real good feel for it, but have never seen a good def expect for the Center and Point Guard. The PF, SF, and SG many times have gray definations. Many times a player can play several positions - TMAC for example. Based on the some of the treads I see, I find many suggestions of the Rockets acquiring a 2 for a 3 slot, a 5 for a 4, etc.

As many teams have showed, one does not have to have a strict adherence to the defined norm.

    1) NBA.com
    2) JVG has often said that positions like the 2 and 3 are interchangeable. There are few "old school true centers" left in the NBA. Yao, Shaq, Big Z are among the few of any worth. The rest are what we used to call PF's after Hakeem came along. They play the 4 or 5. The position lines are blurred but the roles are defined by most good offenses.
