i recently got a refurbished laptop with wireless connection and lucky for me my college has wireless internet available to those who have the capabilities for it. first i had to register my mac address with the school and that was successful the second part is where i am having trouble. it says Once registered, you need to start the configuration software specific to your wireless card and create a new profile. The SSID or Wireless Network Name should be entered as the name received in your school email address that you entered. This entry is case-sensitive. i have that name but where do or how do i put it on my computer? about my transcript i took 5 course at another college and am wanting to transfer 1 of those courses to my new school because i got ds and fs on my other classes. if i transfer my credits to my new school will those old grades transfer and affect my 3.0 gpa that i have at my new school?
Your specific wireless card came with a configuration tool. If it did not you will have to use the Windows XP Wireless configuration tool and input the SSID there. Once you open the Wireless configuration tool you will either see SSID's being broadcast or you will have to manually enter it yourself.
no, those grades won't transfer to your new school gpa. i call you an internet conservationist. congrats.
Like he said above, I don't think anything under a C will transfer to any college. I don't believe they will accept them because it makes that school look bad as far as GPAs are concerned. As for the computer problem, I am not sure about that. It is something I have been having trouble with too. I contacted the people at my university and still have yet to hear from them. My wireless network name is AstateAnywhere, where do I put this though?
