.........Clutch the Bear, that is.

Yesterday I stopped at a Race Trac gas station on HWY 6, with my two boys. They are 3 & 4 years old. Clutch was with some some PR guy in a Rocket Van that has a basketball goal in the back. We stopped there about 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Clutch waived and gave my boys a hug. We got his autograph and before we left the PR guy brought a basketball out for us to shoot at the rim.

I go to the the distance of a free throw shot and banked it in. Then my wife my Wife knocked down a shot from the corner. Clutch then bricked his shot. I guess the heat was really getting to him.

A guy outside in a bear suit in Houston heat during the middle of the summer?

Good thing he doesn't work for Disney. He'd have to pay for dry cleaning and crabs removal...

They are. You should see the special keyboard the rest of us pitched in and got Clutch to help him type with his big furry paws.

Don't listen to keeley. Jeff is actually Clutch the Bear. He has posted his picture on the bbs before...don't you guys see the resemblance? An added bonus for next year is that they will allow Jeff the Bear to perform bass solos at halftime. Should bring in more fans in preparation for the new arena (which is also why Jeff did sor.com).

Sorry, Jeff, I couldn't keep it in anymore.

How could anyone claim that Clutch and Clutch-the-bear are the same person?!?!

Anyone who would stand outside in a bear suit in the Houston summer heat is devoted to the Rockets to the point of insanity.

Meanwhile, Clutch has spent six years creating and maintaining, for essentially no financial compensation, the most comprehensive, polished, flat-out beautiful NBA ... ummm ... uhhh ...

Errr, scratch that first sentence.

Clutch the Bear rules!!! Good sighting rfs81...

I saw Clutch the Bear once on 59 near Fannin in a Jeep, top down, cruising to an event... it was too funny... I honked and the bear waived!!!

    Clutch rules!
