Once upon a time, a poor Chinese good man was hungry. He was so poor that he couldn¡¯t buy many hot dogs to satisfy the stomach. So he buyed one. The hot dog was so delicious, and the poor man was more hungry. He couldn¡¯t bear it and ate the second, the third, the fourth, the fifth.
But it was not enough to his appetite. Finally he spent the last coin for the sixth hot dog. Then he was no hungry and no money. ¡°What did I do? Why not ate the sixth first? I should have saved the five hot dogs¡¯ money.¡±

In my eyes, Kobe may think to be the sixth hot dog.

You never really think these stories are profound, but when you really read into it you always see the amazing realm of deeper meaning shine through.

Isn't China + the Internet wonderful, especially when you sign Yao Ming?

speaking of that... while in mex, the title was "lost in tokyo". kinda beats the whole "meaning behind the title" thing.

sorry for the derail... though already derailed.

What he is saying is obvious....that Kobe is the 6th Hotdog...meaning that the Laker's owners were so hungry for building something amazing, that they thought they didn't need any of the pieces (1st - 5th hotdogs), and could just jump to the 6th hotdog (Kobe).

Well - that's my guess. It could also mean that he likes to eat black basketball players and Kobe would fill him up all by himself.

Actually this is a good story, and tells a powerful message. I think it could have been "teed up" a little better in terms of scene setting, but it's a good story. Seriously.

Moral of the story? if you're on the atkins diet and all you eat is meat, you'll never feel full.

Why don't you serve it up for us slower ones, then? (Not being terse; I didn't follow it the first time.) I don't want to wait thirty years to get something more out of it than, "Sura fall in faint."
