This is the guy we need and can actually get. philly is losing their season with no light at the end of the tunnel and they are looking to have a firesale why not get our hands on the next under-the-radar hot prospect that will blossom into a star when he lands onto a decent team? THADDEUS YOUNG. Hes only 22, can shoot, and will be awesome for Adelman's offense. Good idea?
I think that could a decent under the radar pick up. Can also play some 4 if they decide to go small. Not a game changing move, but I could see it working out.
He could be a very good defender. I'm for it as long as the 76ers don't want too much. He reminds me of a Jeff green type player except at sf.
That thread is all talking about iguodala and iguodala only. Thaddeus Young has nothing to do with Andre Iguodala. Ones a star on a massive contract and another is a young player whos probably much less coveted around the league.
Yes and yes. Jeff Green is actually a SF forced to play PF because of ..you know what.... young could do some serious damage on a contending team. just look at arron afflalo and shannon brown when they got to good teams...they exploded onto the scene. whereas back in the pistons and the bobcats respectively they were looked as scrubs and scrubs only.
lolololol I know right?! I felt like flaming him but I decided to stay patient with him. I mean its like wtf dude how about i start talking about dwayne wade in a lebron james thread.......
One is a few years older and may have already hit his ceiling and has a massive contract that the sixers might want to unload to rebuild(andre), the other would most likey be part of that rebuilding process(young). The only way they would trade Young is if hes part of a bigger deal to get rid of sallary(andre) or for something of equal value(young talent). This isnt the first time weve talkd about getting this guy and idk why the rockets would want to clog the sf position when budinger is looking better each game, unless your plan is to trade c-bud for young, this idea couldve easily been brought up in the iggy thread...
Young has potential, but how good is he defensively? A lineup with brooks, martin and scola will need an elite defender to cover for their defensive deficiencies.
I don't want to talk about Lebron when this could've been in a Lebron thread, but Lebron is Jamesing on the Lebron Bron.
Did Budinger vanish all of a sudden? If we're getting a new Sf to take his future starting job it better be an all-star, not role player with the same or less potential. If he was a defensive stud it would make some sense...but he's not as good of a shooter as bud and his defense isn't so exceptional that bud can't come close to it.
