A Boston Loss would be a big blow.

Great win over Indy. Still, whether or not the Rockets can beat Boston will be a big test. The Rockets typically have huge letdowns after good victories. I feel that if they can beat Boston, they could get on a roll and perhaps win 11 games this month. A loss to Boston would bring the Rockets down to Earth, and could lead to a sub-500 month. So, what's going to happen? Will the Rockets have a letdown, or will they dominate the Celts like they're supposed to?

3rd: "Theres no way they can lose now!"
    4th: "What the ******* **** happened?!!"
    Revote! Revote! Revote!......

Boston game is tomorrow. Losing a road back to back is nothing to be ashamed of, even for the league's elite teams.

Boston itself is in the middle of a home streak and will have a day off before the Rockets game. They should be favored.

Winning the Boston game would be big, but on the other hand losing would not be unexpected or a back breaker.

I think we will win tommorow because Boston is coming off a loss and their confidence is not high while were on a 4 game winning streak. The boston crowd is weak and will not affect the rockets.Their backcourt is very weak as well, with chris herren and kenny anderson manning the point guard duties. As long as we hold at least one of their big guns under 20 (pierce, walker) we should win. Tommorows game is pretty big because i feel the game in miami will be tough despite all the injured players miami has. The rockets played horribly last year in miami.

Can we enjoy this win for a few before talking about losing tomorrow night!?

    Geez!

Seriously, I think the Rockets are starting to find a nice rhythm. Hakeem isn't hesitating. Steve is becoming more aggressive and asserting himself while still getting his teammates involved. The squad as a whole is playing as a TEAM.

My 10-6 November record prediction is still very possible.

When you force Antoine to take rush his shots and make Pierce pass the ball you should be able to beat the Celts. Rocks have to watch out though Boston is much better than most perceive. If Houston does win tomorrow they'll go 8-5 and 4-1 against teams with players from "He Got Game". [IMG]

The Boston Game is one of the least important ones thus far. Second night of back to back on the road. Plus, they won the first one, the critical one on the three game swing.

I remember writing this thread back when the Rockets were 7-5, after a great win over Indiana. Well, once again the Rockets face Boston, and a loss would indeed be a big blow. If they win, they could take some serious confidence into a huge game with Minnessota. If they lose, I think it's time to completely write off any playoff chances. Predictions?
I think the Rockets will win easily, 105-89.
That original Boston loss was a big blow, and they will remember.

Just hope that the Monday game in UT goes to triple overtime so that everyone is tired.

I guess a Malone elbow to Antoine might do the trick as well.

Amen, except to the second part [IMG]. The Celts are my home town team and I don't wont my boy getten injured. Dont worry about me, I will still be chearing loud and proud for the Rocks. One thing you never do is wish an injury upon another player, cause it will always come back to haunt(hurt) you.

It's okay man, but if the Mailman drops a 'bow' on Pierce or Twan, your dead [IMG]

Am I the only person that knows that Celtics are the second hottest, if not the hottest, team in the league right now?

The only way we'll win is if Anderson plays HUGE D on Pierce, and makes him play D too.

I think Antoine will play a huge game, cause honestly, we have no one to stop him.

I fancy our chances at every position other than PF.

But I have to say, their teamwork has been absolutely incredible lately..

    Hakeem vs. Potapenko

    Need I say more?

    Mo vs. Walker

I'm sorry o say Mo will foul out early, and Walker will play terribly well.

    Shan vs. Pierce

Pierce will get his points, but Shandon will make him work hard for them. Pierce will get his 20, but on .300 shooting. Shan will get a lot of rebounds, assists, and steals...

    Mobley vs. (i dunno)

Whoever it is, Mobley is better. Mobley has been playing some D lately, and only Mobley can hurt Mobley's offense.

    Francis vs. Anderson/Herren

    Francis by a mile.

I dunno guys, I'm hoping for a win, but I wouldn't place a bet on it.

    Rox 91
    Celts 90

    Francis 24pts, 5assts, 6reb, 2stl
    Anderson 10pts, 6 reb, 5assts, 4stls, 2blks
    Hakeem 18pts, 11reb

    Walker 38pts, 10reb, 6ast

Let's hope for the best, cause the Celts aren't stiffs...

I am glad somebody said that. The celts, only behind Orlando, are the hottest team in the league. They went to Seatle and blow them out, and then beat Portland at the Rose Garden in Portland. They have won 9 of 11 and are playing great team offense and defense. This is a much tougher game then you people think. It shoud be a barn burner but I will pick the Rocks to win [IMG]
    Celts-89
    Rocks-91

    Cat-28pts, 10rebs, 3stls, 0asts
    Franchise-12pts, 9asts, 8rebs, 5stls, 3 blks
    Anderson-great D on Pierce

    Walker-30pts(6-9 3pts), 8asts, 5rebs
    Pierce-13pts(4-20 fgs), 3asts, 3rebs, 3stls

Rocks will up ten in fourth but late push by Celts will fall 2 points short. [IMG]

The Rockets have to come out with ENERGY, or they will again be facing a come from behind situation.

The Rockets don't bring it every night....a sign of a very young and immature team.

The Celtics want to win, make the playoffs. The question is, do the Rockets? Steve says he does, but the win tomorrow will go to the team that wants it more, right then and there. Boston does NOT have a better team than we do. If they win, it's because they want it more and play with the appropriate intensity and focus.

It was pretty ugly when these teams met earlier in the season. The Rockets were probably exhausted from the night before.

At the half, Boston lead 44-28.
    Final Score: Boston won 96-81.

We have trouble playing at Boston. That shouldn't be a problem Tuesday night.

I think the Rockets still think that Larry Bird still plays for the Celtics!

We should be able to out-rebound this team. But one thing I'm dreading is the turnovers, and I'm sure they're coming...
