I was watching the Laker series closely to see how well Kobe would do, seeing he plays the same role for the Lakers.

I am absolutely surprised to see he has dominated easily and hes on a higher level than TMac. OH sure he has Gasol and more experienced teammates but that doesnt explain how hes attacking the rim every play and drawing a foul or making a layup...

It surprises me also to see Rockets could have had a 5% chance last offseason to get get him via a trade from Lakers

Ps- Kirilenko attemps to flop again

probably better than a 5% chance. Kobe could have been had, and we blew it. i'm not mad that we didnt pull it off, but rather that we seemingly didnt even try.

Kobe's all-world talent, but he's a diva. You'd be getting the complete opposite end of the spectrum attitude-wise from McGrady, but that comes with problems as well.

how could we have got him? he had a no-trade clause, and he made a list of teams he was willing to play for. houston was not on that list.

That doesn't mean he wouldn't consider Houston. He just didn't want to end up in a situation that resembled the Lakers team he then was a part of.

Kobe also doesn't have a screwed up knee though. His hand is hurt, but he can still shoot the ball. Not having your legs and a bad shoulder is just brutal.

    lmao so true.
Like, you do realise Kobe is liek the BEST PLAYER in the league o_o
He kinda liek won MVP as well, so yes he completely owns T-Mac.
And who says Kobe is good because of his good teammates? He's kinda been like this for years =p even when he's had crap/okay teammates the last few years.

Why do people always compare Tmac to KOBE?

    is not even CLOSE.

Tmac can't even win MVP (then, now and later)

I'm wondering do other teams compare their best player to KOBE too?

    Carmelo, Pierce, Vince, Dirk ect.

KOBE is a LOCK FOR SURE HALL OF FAMER!

the others ....... I'm not sure.

people who say that tmac can't be mvp needs to take a look at kobe's team, they have an established point guard that plays well and has lots of experience, a 3/4 in lamar odom (and even if you dont think he can playm he is able to give you at least 15,5,5) and paul (yeah sure the guy flops, his hair annoys me but he's good for 20/8 on any given night) and not to mention andrew bynum when he comes back. that team has potentially 3 scorers and HAS depth. kobe also had shaq, whose game was basically more modified version of dwight howard. when you compare kobe and tmac your comparing apples and oranges, tmac's a good player to have and will give you 20/6/6 but kobe is known for his defensive game and being able to take over games with his scoring touch. i think the huge difference is mentality, because tmac's been hurt the last few years he hasn't been able to take it upon himself to will this team to wins (i know his team needs to step up as well) but take a look at kobe, for the most part his injury bill's been pretty clean. a few injuries here and there but nothing that kept him out as much as tmac.

I just threw up in my mouth a little.

DO NOT WANT. Whining, teammate-backstabbing prima donna. Alleged rapist.

I'll take the good guys instead. Kobe could never be part of the team that we had this year - it's just not in his character. I believe that the current Rockets, if healthy, are better than the Lakers.

Hell, I'd much rather have an Artest on the team than a Kobe.

Where's the "Kobe just opened a can of quit in the 4th" thread?

Where's the "Kobe a no show in 4th" thread?

Where's the "Kobe is a faker, quitter, has no heart" thread?

Oh that's right... he was hurt... just like T-Mac was last round.

But he gets a pass, 'cause he's a league MVP and in the second round.

Exactly, i love Kobe but he always gets a free pass just like Lebron. Lebron played pretty bad last game too, "Ohh...but thats cuz his teammates played bad."
Tracy makes everyone around him better. The assist for all 3 is around the same but lebron and Kobe don't really CREATE, Tracy gets his team wide open layups, heck if our guys actually knocked down some shots he'd easily have 13 ast per game

Yeh, it's crazy how people call Tmac a drama queen and read too much into his quotes from the media so that they can accuse him of not being a team player and trying to tear the team apart. Yet, with all that, they still want Kobe Bryant.....
