What a crappy way to start my day! I was awoken by a text message from my friend Raymond (Laker fan) that said: "Rocket's season over! Yao out for rest of the season!"

I quickly wake up and turn on the television to watch ESPN First Report and hear that Yao has a fractured foot!

The day became more painful as I watched the ESPN shows, and read articles online and in every article, they keep mentioning the "loser" tag that T-Mac carries with him! I mean give me a ****ing break! I know he deserves to be bashed from time to time because he creates some drama and is fragile, but you think he enjoys seeing his big man get hurt?

I just really hope that we can push past the first round so that these stupid media morons can began an article or write on that doesn't waste half of it on how the Rockets or T-Mac can't win! I think I heard them say it after the 04-05 season and every freaking article that has come out after that season! If they are going to waste the ink to write an article, then please don't bring up the same nonsense, bull**** that you have written about 50 times already. How about adding something that most basketball fans haven't already heard about?

So this whole rant is meant to be a "BIG **** YOU!" to ESPN, BIll Plashcke of the LA Times, JA Adande, SI, and Yahoo.

It is bad enough that I have to wake up to the news of losing Yao Ming for the rest of the year, but it doesn't help when I try to read an article to find out more about his injury and instead get a bunch of garbage and hate that I have heard for the past 5+ seasons!

I just hope that T-Mac and the Rockets get past the first round and then send a big "**** YOU!" post card to these Homers!

we beat a terrible team. Nothing to really celebrate. They are relying on one guy and its a bunch of 7th or worst options coming off their bench...

Much like Giant fans were wanting Eli Manning and crew to win a play-off game to send a big FU to the media there.

Its to the point now that I want T-Mac to take this team on his shoulders and win a play-off series. I dont care if they get swept in 4 blowouts in the 2nd round, but just win that series. Without Yao. After all the early season adversity. Like I said in the other thread, just givem all a nice big ****burger to eat.

Yeah, but one bright side is while we are crushing a terrible team, Phoenix was struggling to beat a terrible team.

Greg Anthony(Laker lover) still thinks we will make the Playoffs.

A win is always a time to celebrate, I don't care who we pound into the ground.
So by your logic should the Jazz throw in the season because they got beat by the T-Wolves (an obviously bad team) ???

Completey agree. +1 for you dude

Yes, we all know Tmac has never advanced past the first round and all that.
But what I hate the most is that they react like the team is dead without Tmac.....uhh hello! The Rockets have a pretty good record w/o Yao , and lets not forget, this team has so MUCH more talent than any other year since Tmac was here, not to mention we finally have a coach that knows how to use players the right way.
I say let them write down their own redundant and provocative, and worthless, articles that only show their limited knowledge and typical bandwagonness

It's a no-win situation for us. If we past the first round, they're all going to say how much Yao sucked and how we're better off without him. But we all know the truth, so we shouldn't worry about their "opinions".

I am not celebrating tonight's win in this thread! I am just annoyed at the fact that I can't read an article on Yao's injury without having to barrel through a bunch of garbage that I haven't already heard millions of times. Okay ESPN, I get your point! You don't think much of McGrady and his ability to carry the team, but please don't include this crap in an article about Yao's injury. You can just write a separate article with all that crap so that I can actually read about the injury, not about T-Mac's 0-5 record in the playoffs. Don't these morons think that most NBA fans already know T-Mac hasn't advanced in the playoffs?

P.S. I think the Rockets owned the Wizards and I am proud of that win! That defense will kill ANYBODY! If we play that defense, then bring on the Lakers, Suns, Mavs, Hornets, or whoever!

F-ing idiots. Just watched the Yao story on sportscenter. One of the guys said after Yao spoke "how does he speak like that after just three years"? As if Yao never spoke the language before coming to the states.

It just goes to show that that national guys don't know as much as most people think.

I believe right after that he said "it would take me 300 years to learn Chinese." so really, he was complementing Yao.

Stephen A-hole Smith also said on Sportscenter that he doesn't think the Rockets will make it to the postseason. I'd love to shut him up on that one.

The general media has no idea about the nuances of the Rockets. They still think the Rockets are full of mediocre role players and heavily reliant on Tmac and Yao (which we have been every other year.) This season we don't need 20+ from each superstar just to keep us in the game, much less win them.

But the media won't realize it until the first round of the playoffs when they have no choice but to watch every game and see how deep we are.

I think you owe your b*stard friend a big "**** you!!" before you worry about espn. I had a friend do the exact same thing in a text today, the same guy who is always saying how soft and no good Yao is. Then I simply told him: "F*** you. You're a Magic fan. Houston is still better without Yao."

Funny side note, when I moved to the US, the Rockets became my favorite team and I have known this friend for a long time. And back in the day, he was a huge Penny Hardaway fan so I make fun of him to this day about how the Rockets kicked the Magics ass back in the day!

But I am sadden by Yao's injury, but not pissed off completely because it is out of everyone's hands. I don't understand how these "writers" get paid for saying the same bul lcrap every single article! There is never anything new or creative in this articles!
