Lol, well... Everyone loves re-hashing or playing it safe... I'm hoping the trend breaks eventually, the good news is at least it looks like they didn't bring back characters from the dead.

But man 20 years later??? Haha, those characters in the movie probably wouldn't have all made it that far.

Well it's suppose to be based on the sequel to the novel, who Danny Boyle himself said isn't as good as Trainspotting. The book sequel is set 9 years after the events in Trainspotting, and Boyle has been waiting for the actors to look aged enough for 9 "hard" years, which because they are actors, it took 20 years.

I hope it's based on Porno.

Guess I'll just have to have faith in Boyle on this one.

They say it's loosely based on Porno.

From a book standpoint, I give Trainspotting an A+

The sequel, Porno, is a solid B.

Since I consider the film to be an A+ as well, I am hoping for a very solid sequel (assuming it is based on Porno).

That's one of a hand full of books I started and did not finish. I usually finish everything I start. It's just a thing with me. I still own it though, perhaps I will try again one day.

Trainspotting was more a chore to read than the A Song of Ice and Fire books. The movie was fantastic though, and I'm holding out hope that Part 2 is just as good.
