I know rimrocker is a firefighter and I think I remember him saying he was heading to Northern California to help in the fires up here. I just saw this headline and hope that he's safe. My heart goes out to the families and friends of those lost/injured.
Scary. His account was last active around 2:30 this morning though and the article said the crash happened last night around 7:30pm so hopefully he's alright.
I would *guess* that rimrocker is okay, but incredibly busy right now. I don't think he actually gets on the ground at this stage in his career, but does more of the behind the scenes coordination. That's just assembled from what he's posted. All thoughts and prayers to the families of those firefighters.
I hope Rimrocker is OK. A real tragedy and something to remember when reading about the wildfires we seem to be getting more of, particularly in the West. These men and women are putting their lives on the line for us while we sit in air conditioned comfort, typing away.
I hope that rimrocker was not one of them, as shameful as that may sound. That just sucks that that many of them lost their lives to these stupid wildfires. My condolences.
