    NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Expect an increase in strip club attendance after this news gets out: 83 percent of American women don't think lap dances count as sexual contact.
    That's the naked truth from "Playboy" magazine, which has just released a new casual sex survey.

    Many American men agree lap dancing isn't sex -- 90 percent to be exact.

    Other shocking sex stats....

    -- 53 percent of women have someone they see simply for sex, but only 40 percent of guys can make that claim.

    -- 62 percent of women have had casual sex while in a steady relationship with someone else compared to 54 percent of guys.

    -- Finally, 34 percent of American women say they've had casual sex more than ten times in the last year, but only 24 percent of guys have been that slutty.

    According to Playboy, the results to this survey were compiled from 10,000 people that responded to Playboy's online poll. The very fact that respondents had to: 1. Have on line access and 2. Visit the Playboy.com site is going to mean that the numbers are skewed. Especially for the female-response questions. Let's face it, only a fairly sexually adventurous woman would visit male p*rn sites on a regular basis to begin with, let alone answer a survey there based on her sex practices.

    I have to assume that if a standard polling firm did a random-sample phone survey of 10,000 Americans, the answers would be FAR different. Sorry to burst your lap-dance dreams. :)

    The story didn't say cheating, it said "83 percent of American women don't think lap dances count as sexual contact."

    I don't think lap dances are cheating. But if it isn't sexual contact, the guy definitely isn't getting his money's worth!

    This is not all that surprising. The only reason there are more women with this stat is because women have more options. Guys actually have to find a woman willing to be a sex-only partner. It's hard enough for guys to find a woman who wants to have sex with them in the first place let alone someone who just views it as recreation! I doubt it is tough for women to find the same in men. :)

    That half-metaphor (with all the predictable imagery that follows) is a true crime, Mrs. JB. This will affect the rest of my day at least. Maybe the rest of my week.

    The population is approximately 50% men and 50% women. If 53% of the women had a sex only relationship then 53% of the men should also have a sex only relationship unless:

    1) Multiple women were involved with the same man
    2) Women were involved with women
    3) Men considered the relationship something more than simply sex and women considered it a sex only relationship
