Wow, do we not understand that the basketball season last's 82 games?? 4-3....big damn deal!! Look at the Spurs and Mavericks, they are sucking right now too. THE SEASON JUST STARTED! Some of our guys are coming back from injuries, and some haven't even come back yet. We have two new guys who are adapting to our system, and we have three young players that are going to become important parts of the team! STOP FALLING APART HOUSTON FANS!! This is the only sports team in this city that is worth a damn, and the only one who has paid its fans back dearly with great memories!! 2 Championships, 22-Game Winning Streak, 7 Hall of Famers, Trading for marque players, etc. etc. etc. Give them a chance, these guys are going all the way this year!!!

    But here's the thing tho...

Mavs and Spurs at least have made some noise in the playoffs recently after getting off to slow starts

what do the Rockets have to show?

Yes I would love to trade Rudy Fernandez for Tmac. Fernandez is a better passer then Mcgrady. Fernandez can draw double teams like Tmac. Fernandez leads his team in assists. Fernandez can carry a team when an injury occurs. Fernandez can take his team to game 6 against the Jazz with Deke, Scola, Landry, Rafer(injured in playoffs), Brooks, and Hayes. Fernandez can step up his game vastly in the playoffs. Fernandez has playoff experience.

Of course I will trade Tmac for Rudy Fernandez who wouldn't. Please whoever started this thread is a complete imbecile. Seven games in and everyone is whining about how terrible the Rockets are, its absurd. Exact same thing happened last year when a loss at Philadelphia and everyone declared us finished. Or when Yao went down, The Rockets won't make the playoffs or are lottery bound. Say what you guys want, but a true fan knows a season isn't decided on the 7th game or the 20th. It is decided when it is all said and done that is AN 82 GAME SEASON. We will be there at the end contending with the best of them. Its just sad that some of you so called "fans" have given up already.

This what I posted in the fernandez thread. At least there are still some rational fans left Bro keep preaching

Oh yeah brother, I feel ya.

I was thinking about that. I was prettu much upset all day long because of the game but damn. It is a LONG season. 82 games - it is a lot of time.

We will have ups and downs. Tracy, Yao will have ups and downs.

    Just GO ROCKETS!

    Amen!

It's just annoying to see threads of trading our players and whining. Come on...it's a long season.

Give them time and they'll shine.

It is true that it is a 82 game season. It is also true that every game counts the same whether in November or April.

It's all about momentum and chemistry. Rockets have a history of starting slow. Every game may indeed count, but it's really about how the team fares in stretches of games, especially when we are closer to the playoffs.

It is very competitive in the west. Saying it will be alright later can bite you back like a rabid dog. Every game is important, whether it be early in the season or not.

We need to fix our rotation. We need to trade alston + whoever the hell we need to put in here to get a reliable point guard who can shoot. Brooks is good, but I cant see him controlling the ball type PG where we will need that type come playoff time. Brooks tempo is too fast and he is trigger happy. We need a PG who can control the ball and setup his teammates. Alston is a C- PG. Brooks is a C+ PG. We need at least a B- PG and a real backup C because we are way too small once Yao goes out. Please morey, fix our team before this team melts down come playoff time.

it's an 82 games season, but this ****ty start will come back biting the rockets, as the'll again fail to get one of the top 3 spots in the conference rankings and again draw a tough adversary in the playoffs... (which of course, the'll dismantle, discombombulate(?), destroy, anihilate, beat them 9-0)

oh, and the cherry on the cake would to lose to the manu-less, parker-less, grandpa duncan's spurs on friday; possibly by double digits. let's see if it's will still be an 82 games season then...

(yeah, i'm pissed. i hope i can find other people like me and thrash the rockets together. at least until wednesday.)

Im with you but Wednesday isnt a walk in the park. The Suns are a good team and Steve Nash always seems to torch Rafer "im no starter in the NBA" Alston.

Our biggest problem is our Guards. They never seem to want to penetrate and either score or pass. I only see that in Aaron Brooks and its said that the smallest guy is getting it down :( .. That's why i wish and hope that Francis really isn't down. But damn i maybe living a dream to hope that he can help this team

    Lol.

How many times do I have to say this? Okay fine, maybe there are some Clutchfans members out there that is pissed because of our "record" right now. But for me and maybe others, it's not about that right now. It's all about the way we are playing, the lack of defense from Tracy (and offense). We need to know what's going on with our two stars. Ron, we don't have to worry about because nothing is wrong with him, he's not hurt, he's just in a little shooting slump and things like that happen and will bounce back soon. This could possibly happen because of team chemistry. -But-. The only change there is is that Shane is out with an injury and Ron came in. (For the first line-up). I am not sure if one guy out makes the chemistry much worse. Or you could look at it this way. Yao haven't played with Tracy McGrady since February. Or you can blame Rick for making our first line up play a type of offense that doesn't suit them. It's just so many problems with the team right now that doesn't even have to do with the record now. Maybe you're right, there's still 70 something games left, maybe they'll play into it and play good by March.

I don't think that Francis can do any miracles either. Maybe beat the crap out of the other rockets with a stick or something during timeouts, so they'll play with more passion and inner-drive.

I agree. It's not the record. At least not yet.

It' s how they play. How they look on the court. Their mentality, focus, motivation, passion etc

    Yeah exactly!!
It's astonishing what short memories some people have. We sucked much more thank we're doing now in the first half of last year and yet we had that 22 game winning streak. Granted we didn't prevail in the playoffs but this year we're in a MUCH MUCH MUCH better position. Just have some bloody patience!!

That being said, it would be nice if we could trade Rafer "Can't hit the side of a barn" Alston. ;)

    Cheer up guys!!!

The attitude and passion of the players is being brought up. I would like to address that.
Displaying that type of attitude for an entire season is a tough thing to do mentally. Every person has a stretch where they do not perform at there best all the time. I am very active in Basketball at a junior level. I coach a few teams, I play games and have to deal with alot of politics. There are some days where I can't be stuffed and when it is hard to be at my best mentally. And they work I do is nothing compared to what these players and coaches deal with for the length of time.

Our record is around .500, it is teh start of the season and we are going through our toughest stretch as far as quality opponents are concerned.

Amen brother, the most important things about these loses is that we still have work to do and we have to really look into the mistakes and learn from them
