I'm selling my MGS4 80GB PS3 with Dual Shock wireless controller and MGS4 for $350 OBO. I'll throw in the hdmi cable I use with it (from monoprice). MGS4 was opened because I wanted to see how cool it was. Pretty cool This PS3 has backwards compatibility. It is in mint condition. If the buyer wants, I still have the original MGS4 Bundle Box in great condition also. Why am I selling it? I just purchased a new home, and I'm trying to buy a water softener. I've got a 360 and Wii to play games on. I barely use my PS3. In fact, I only used it to watch blu-ray movies. Maybe a total of 20 times since I bought it when the MGS4 Bundle released. I prefer to sell in the Houston area. I'm located in Sugar Land. If you're not in Houston and interested, email me, and I'll try to work something out. Feel free to email me or post here. My email is clutch.citizen @gmail.com Thanks for looking!
Can you confirm it works? I'm not interested but as you saw in other threads some dick is selling everyone broken items.
Of course! I've been meaning to post pictures, but I've been tied up lately picking up furniture for the new house. I can post pictures of the PS3 while it's on tv. I understand your concern though. That other thread is pretty bad. Thanks for the pointers.
why would you spend $275 on a 80GB - used PS3? You can get a brand new 120GB PS3 for $299 ALSO only the 60GB PS3 is backwards compatible... not the 80GB
The MGS4 Bundle included a 80GB Backwards compatible PS3. I'm selling a bc PS3 with dual shock controller, MGS4, and a monoprice HDMI cable. All with the original box as well if you want it. Like I said, I probably only turned it on 20 times since I've bought it. I only watched movies on it. I tried MGS4 to see the opening sequence when I first bought the bundle. I'm looking for $300 Thanks for contributing to the thread I'll get those pics up soon. Sorry so late
$250 cash if you don't get any better offers, and as long as we can confirm it works. Not that I don't trust you, just that, seeing the other thread and all, due diligence is the word of the day..
For anyone who doesn't know, there are 2 80gb PS3 models. One has PS2 backwards compatibility, one doesn't. He's saying this is the one that does. ALSO note that the BC for this unit is DIFFERENT from the 60gb model. 60gb model actually has PS2 hardware inside, while this 80gb model is software emulation. Meaning, it supports fewer PS2 games than the 60gb model does (probably 80% of games vs. 98% IIRC... unsupported games are mostly older, obscure titles), but on the up side it's also less prone to overheating than the 60gb model.
Deal fell through (a while back actually). Thanks to the poster for keeping me posted. It's been a while, but it's back up for sale at $300. Here are pictures:
