Tonight I decided to watch 8 Simple Rules instead of That 70's Show cause of Kaley Cuoco. Kaley is hot, but everything else is unwatchable. In tonight's episode, the dad is spending a Saturday (during the Michigan Ohio State game) with the kids while the mom goes to grad school. Here is my review: The dad (John Ritter): He did a decent job. The mom (Katey Segal): It felt like I was watching an episode of Married With Children. You know the episodes where Peg goes to Wanker County to visit her family then calls home to check up on the kids. Bridget (Kaley Cuoco): HOT DAMN She's also a pro tennis player. Move over Anna K, this girl kicks ass. Daughter # 2: Another 25 year old actress trying to pass off as a 15 year old. Imagine Lisa Simpson. This girl is annoying, and I wanted to smack her several times. She cries about the freaking circus the whole episode. Son: You know this kid gets picked on in school. He's not a nerd like daughter # 2, but not popular like Bridget. Prefers video games to college football. I want to smack him too. Overall this show sucks and I'd be surprised if ABC picks it up for another season. Okay it might survive another season cause of Kaley's looks, but then its over.
What are you talking about? That show is hilarious. LOL. I think that it is the funniest show on TV! Kaley Cuoco is definetly extremely hot. She was born on 30 November 1985, so she isn't even 17 yet. She is only a year older then me. <img src="http://i.imdb.com/Photos/Events/1479/KaleyCuoco_Ausse_538165_400.jpg">
Tsk, tsk. I watched Buffy instead, as you should have done. However, I did tune in to this craptacular show for all of 5 minutes. It was pretty bad. Not Baby Bob bad, or even Suddenly Susan bad, but terrible enough that I made the conscious decision to watch the commercials during Buffy rather than this show. And I hate commercials, too. Poor John Ritter just looks old and haggard now. The hot daughter is... well... hot. But so is Sarah Michelle Gellar. Advantage: Buffy.
All I gotta say is baby blue never looked so good... (if you watched the show you know what I'm talkin about)
Buffy rules tuesday night. Looks like another good season. I am glad they are bringing back the high-school.
Well, the answer to that thread....read it and weep... http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/headline/entertainment/1590602 ABC has `8 Simple Rules' for making a hit family comedy By MIKE McDANIEL Copyright 2002 Houston Chronicle Only two episodes have aired, but ratings suggest that ABC may have a hit on its hands -- especially in Houston -- with 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter. The family comedy, starring John Ritter, drew more viewers here Tuesday than any other show, scoring a 14.9 rating and 23 share. Nationally, it had a respectable 9.7 rating and 15 share and finished No. 2 in its time period. Only the season premiere of CBS' JAG did better (11.4/17 nationally, 11.3/17 in Houston). The NBC comedy In-Laws was No. 3 at 7 p.m., posting numbers similar to last year's Emeril (and we know what happened to that, don't we?). Airing back-to-back half-hours, In-Laws posted a 7.1/11 and 8.5/12. In Houston, the numbers were 6.9/11 and 8.8/13. The bump for the second half-hour may have everything to do with ABC's Life With Bonnie, which couldn't come close to holding on to the ratings of 8 Simple Rules. It managed only an 8.1/12 nationally, 10.8/16 in Houston -- and next week, it goes up against The West Wing. (Nice knowing you.) The marriage of Niles and Daphne drew a big crowd to NBC's Frasier, which triumphed with a 15.6/22 national rating, 13.0/18 locally. But ratings for the show that followed it, the new comedy Hidden Hills, were only a 10.9/15 (down 30 percent from Frasier) and 9.5/13 here. Another series premiere, CBS' Presidio Med, scored a 9.2/14 nationally, 8.4/11 locally. It was easily beaten by the 10th season premiere of NYPD Blue (10.3/16; 12.1/17 in Houston). Houston didn't help the WB on Tuesday. The season premieres of Gilmore Girls and Smallville scored national ratings of 5.4/8 and 6.8/9, respectively. In Houston, the shows scored 4.5/7 and 6.1/8. The dazzling season premiere of UPN's Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a cold and evil No. 6 in its time slot: 3.9/6 nationally, 4.0/6 locally. That didn't help the new show that followed it, Haunted, which limped home with scary numbers: 3.1/4 national, 3.4/5 local. Unlike Monday, ratings for the 9 p.m. shows had no effect Tuesday on ratings for the late news. KTRK (Channel 13) was No. 1 at 9 p.m. but No. 3 at 10. KPRC (Channel 2) was No. 2 at 9 p.m., No. 1 at 10. The 10 p.m. newscast for KHOU (Channel 11) was No. 1 on Monday, an apparent beneficiary of the large audience sampling CSI: Miami. On Tuesday, Channel 11 was No. 3 at 9 p.m. but No. 2 at 10. A rating point is equal to 1,067,000 households nationally, 18,141 locally. Share is the percentage of the audience watching television at the time.
Dude bring all of that back, Urkel, Balky, Full House - I would watch it. We still watch Full House in reruns... very sad.
The title of the show is just dumb. Now the show can only be on for only a few years while the daughter's a teenager?
After 2 episodes and most viewers (including myself) tuning in for the first time, I'd say it's no surprise the show finished # 1. Kaley Cuoco will carry this show like Jessica Alba carried Dark Angel. Do you know where Dark Angel is now? Same place 8 Simple Rules will be in 2 years.
i watched the first show (videotaped it). it was ok i watched the second show had to stop the tape 15 minutes into it. maybe its because I don't have kids, but I wanted to strangle every single one of them... talk about annoying. Let dad watch the game! its the biggest game of the year (for Mich and OSU fans at least). and to have a son that dislikes football??? I'd disown him!
