    you know whats weird to think about. this (the BBS) is like a life inside a life, a culture inside a culture. its a little kingdom. there are different class systems, there are laws. different personalities. you have the trolls who come into the kingdom and try to start fights with the inhabitants and then they are kicked out by Clutch, who is the King of the Land. Clutch has a senate who have alot of power and they can kick people out who dont obey the laws. then there is popularity. obviously the king and his senators are the highest class, but then you have the upper class, which is dictated i guess by the number of posts or most memorable threads. probably everyone who was in that BBS poster contest. thats the upper class, then theres the middle class, people with about 500 posts who turn up every once in a while. some of us remember each other but not. just like in real life. theres a lower class. people with about 100 posts, that post dumb things and come around every once in a while. which then brings us back to the criminals who post terrible things and get kicked out of the kingdom. some of the upper class members get caught in criminal activity. and they either get warned by the king or they get kicked out of the kingdom. we all spend our time in different places. we can go talk to the king in the clutchcity.net feed back warehouse. we can talk about certain things in the other warehouses labeled appropriately. but you cant get too buck wild at these warehouse parties. or you will be moved to another warehouse or criminally indicted and kicked out of the kingdom. but you only know me because i typed an h an o an l a d an e and an n up on the left. so when you see that you know what type of person i am, and you can kind of assume what words are too come if you read one of my threads or one of my posts. and thats the same with everyone else. this is all just words on a screen. but really its life just overly simplified. its weird to think about in that way. but really ive never met any of you, and if i did, that would probably throw all of this imaginary world off, because then i would realize it was all real. or is life just a really big BBS and in some other world. some guy is controlling me, who in turn is controlling Holden. i dont know.

    why do i like sports? i mean i can tell myself over and over, that really deep down it does not matter if the rockets or astros or whoever wins another championship, or their game today. it does not really matter at all in regards to my life. and i know this and i realize this, and yet i care so deeply. everyone seems to. even very intelligent people can cheer their heads off. why? it has nothing to do with anything. sports is totallly worthless. does it just make us forget about the rest of our lives? is that it? is it just an escape? i guess. but i cant stop caring, i dont know why.

    does anyone want to go to the liquor store and buy me two bottles of mcCormick vodka, ill give you five bucks for the trip. its my last week here, and i dont intend on enjoying it sober.

    when i imagined myself making this thread, i thought it would turn out great, but to tell you the truth. it did not turn out the way i thought it would. very dissappointing. (yes i am sober, its almost 9 am)

    This might make for an interesting thread. Think of the possibilities, we are all in King Arthur's (Clutch) kingdom. Everyone must have a "title" a "purpose" for being here.

    Just think Holden, if you posted your real mail address, rather than your email address, someone from the Kingdom could anonymously leave a bottle of vodka at your doorstep, like the vodka fairy. Then you'd get your vodka without facing reality that the wizard is really just a man behind the curtain blowing a bunch of smoke and fire at us.

    So... you're suggesting a class struggle? Is the "upper class" made of lords and barons? Should King Clutch knight Heypartner and DaDakota? Should oeilpere be given plots of land and referred to as "Lord Oeilpere"? Can people aspire to transcend class by posting more? Should DiSeAsEd MoNkEy try to marry higher than her current social class (to Manny, for instance) in order to improve her standing in the BBS?

    Sure, every online community is a microcosm of society, but I've never heard a BBS be compared to medieval times before. In light of Holden's (possible drug-induced) epiphany, I suggest we turn him over to the Inquisition to be tried for heresy. [insert famous Monty Python quote here]
