I've got information. you posted this from abovetopsecret.com's front page so therefore it is meaningless. http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread730470/pg1
Filling the void in your life with meaningless conspiracy theories and mysteries is healthier than fueling it with drugs or alcohol I suppose.

Nice work BenVR! I'm sure it's nothing nonsense BS, but its interesting nonetheless. Some ppl say it has something to do with Resident Evil being released on that day (the picture of the Umbrella) But I don't know. I'll just wait until 8.3.11 and see what happens like the rest of the world.
did you guys read the FAQ? http://www.formspring.me/8X3X11 Get anything from that? Edit: there's also a facebook page - though it's not affiliated, they are getting a bunch of the clues together there http://www.facebook.com/8311belle
the number thing as an identifier of people is a play on the numbered tattoos put on jews during WW2. it's likely a viral campaign for holocaust awareness ,and the website in general. Here is the story of belle ( likely the mother of website maker): http://www.holocaustcenter.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=773 well my guess based on a few minutes of googling. people like to solve things , figure things out so well done in that sense. Definitely something to consider in terms of marketing, and unusual approaches to promoting an idea/business. It seems like this type of marketing is still in its infancy, and down the line more and more of these types of group solving riddles marketing sites will be everywhere. I think people are still innocent enough to fall for it ( myself included) maybe later in the marketing world, people will not fall into these, but that cynicism hasn't happened yet. I think the group playing solve an issue genre is fun, and gets people interested.
