Wow, this just hit me like something out of the blue. I liked the line-up they had, but I'm thinking this might be to move Adam Clanton into the line-up earlier than the 7pm he had.
Just saw on Twitter someone said that 790 will be playing Jay Mohr's show. WTF. Just wonderful, more national shows. FML.
That does blow; I've enjoyed streaming them in the mornings (ever since LZ made the move). It's really too bad because they were all over the Rockets coverage during Free Agency including an extended show the weekend after he made his decision and then again during the contract signing. July has been pretty barren otherwise. Good luck, fellas. I hope to be able to stream ya'll again here soon.
Guess I'll need to find a new morning show now. Hopefully these guys end up at another slot on another station..
Jay Mohr's show is worse than listening to Lopez giggle. **** a bunch of LA talk in Houston. Great job Clear Channel, moronic move but I wouldn't expect anything less from the b**** t*** who own the station.
Jay Mohr makes sense, unfortunately. This was a corporate decision, not a local station decision IMO. Probably much cheaper to air a nationally syndicated show, and it will likely at least equal the Big Show ratings in the long-run so they get more bang for the buck. Really sucks but all day local sports talk just doesn't hold listeners. Not enough material to go around for each show.
They changed the entire line up. Lance and Clanton 6-9am In the trenchass 9-11am Jay Mohr 11-2pm Matt Thomas 2-4pm Pallilo 4-7pm http://www.sports790.com/onair/monday/
I have to say...I think that's a pretty good and balanced lineup. And I say that as someone who really liked Matt & Adam....I wish them well.
yay, all we need now is for J-lo to be cut from 610 and the mornings will be good again. although i would like to see Adam & Mike Meltser do a show.
Actually, that's fine with me. I'll listen to Z&C 6-8 and Charlie on the way home. The midday for me will continue to be Mike & Seth on 610. I will survive. If Matt Jackson replaces Innes, it'll be a homerun.
