    So
    @J.R.
    @pgabriel

    and myself are the only people who care about the city of Houston

    I'm pretty sure this might also correlate to the people's care of the Rockets who appear on this section as well

    Suspect was in a stolen vehicle and was flagged by a license plate reader. Glad we got that scum off the streets.

    “Michael Jordan of police chiefs” they said…

    [IMG]

    City Manager Art Noriega suspended embattled Miami Police Chief Art Acevedo on Monday with the intention of firing him ending weeks of speculation and tumult at Miami City Hall and after a pair of circus-like public hearings last week in which commissioners repeatedly lashed out at the chief over a series of controversial moves and blunders.

    Through spokeswoman Stephanie Severino, Noriega's communication director, the manager said the situation between Acevedo and elected leaders had become "untenable."

    "Today I suspended Police Chief Art Acevedo with the intent to terminate his employment," Noriega said in a statement. "Relationships between employers and employees come down to fit and leadership style and unfortunately, Chief Acevedo is not the right fit for this organization."

    Moments before Noriega released his statement, Acevedo sent one to the city's 1,300 sworn officers saying "It's been a privilege serving and fighting for you."

    Under city rules Acevedo can accept the termination or choose to have a hearing before the city's five commissioners, three of whom have quarreled with him the past several weeks.

    But why would you transport a 71-yr-old woman who'd been run over by a car... to the Sheriff's Office?

    “Harris County Commissioners Court on Tuesday unanimously approved spending $50 million to fight crime through planting trees, improving sidewalks and adding streetlights in distressed neighborhoods.”

    Couldn't agree more. Might as well add in guys like Trump, Paxton, Cruz and Abbott. Those guys killed way more people through their "scoffing at Covid" than any of those animals. As of Sep 28th 346 people have been murdered in this city. We've had more people die from Covid the last two days, but guys like Abbott and his GOP cult fight against mask mandates, fight against mandatory vaccines, and are all for packing those sports stadiums.

    Oh, the irony of GOP outrage.

    They don’t live in H-Town, they have no clues. Lots of them are liberal losers who are morally superior to everyone around them....in their own warped minds.

    The irony in saying that about liberals when Trump himself, the man the GOP kneels to, believes he is superior to everyone, in his sick and twisted mind. He thinks he's the greatest, the smartest, and the most loved man in America. He still can't accept the truth, even after the majority of Americans voted his sorry ass out.

    Charge them. Set their bond. If they make bond and go on a killing spree in houston then post about them in this thread. Until then there are 50 threads to discuss them.

    A few times over the last year plus I have thought, what are some of the mundane things people are doing when they contract Covid. For example, going to eat at Chili's or something to get a crappy entree and boom a week or two later you're gone.

    The problem is that the Texas Attorney General is an accused felon himself, avoiding court for years. They aren't gonna charge themselves. They promote the Big Lie.

    They didn't use a gun or knife to kill thousands. They did it by leading Texans straight to their graves by putting them in danger through lies and propaganda. Those guys have found a way to kill more Texans in one year than all the thugs on the streets combined.
