I think Mo's on the block. They left him exposed in the expansion draft and even though he played well the last couple of preseason games, he wasn't better than Howard. They must be trying show him off.
Another good idea... they must really want to get rid of him, because this will be at the expense of the team, IMO.
That's pretty interesting considering we all thought he would resume his roll as the scorer off the bench from last season. Is this a) just showcasing him for another team or teams, or b) did he really out play Howard in the pre-season? I watched every pre-season game and didn't notice MoT playing any better that Juwon, but he did start ahead of him the last game vs. Denver.
I have to say this is a shock. Hopefully Mo can hit that three ball he's been working on... Maybe Jeff's THAT concernced about the first unit's scoring? I mean, I thought we were at a consensus that Howard was clearly the better all-around player.
Sort of reminds me of the surprise nameing of Cato as starting PF this time last year. I find it hard to believe Gumby would do this just to show off Mo for the trading block. I'm more inclined to believe he just likes to do the unpredictable from time-to-time and maybe play some mind games. Both Mo and Howard will get their minutes.
I said in ohter thread. VG likes MoT. I hope VG will morph Mo into player like Camby in the Knick's days.
Is there any possibility that JVG would be running a lineup like this? Ward/TMac/MoT/Howard/Yao with JJ, Lue & Deke off the bench. I know it doesn't seem very possible nor do I think either Mo or Howard would be a good starter at the 3, but it does kind of improves our bench with JJ. Howard has played some, all be it very little, at SF in his career also. Just a weird thought.
