Go listen to Feigen and Blinebury's last video on the Chronicle site. T-Mac doesn't know how much pain he's in. He's completely confused.

T-Mac should just call it a season and decide what he wants to do this summer. The Rockets play better without him, which leads up to my last point. If T-Mac sits there's no way he should come back for the playoffs. The Rockets have struggled to fit him in and if he tries to reinsert himself for the post-season it will be completely disruptive.

Very good point, that is why I believe it is important to trade TMac on the 19th. I hope lady luck is good to Morey on the 19th and he is able to get a trade done for TMac.

The first caller is living in the past about TMac. He will not play like he has played in his past playoffs. TMac is a shell of his old self, I am sorry but he will not be healthy this season. Need to make a trade.

Agree, I think the best course of action is for the orginization to shut him down for the season and not leave the decision to him. He will be begging to come back in 2 or 4 weeks but the rockets need to resist.

He'll be begging to come back because he needs the attention.

Here is T-Mac's diagnosis (not really, but...):

Let's face it. Everyone is at least trying to get into decent financial situations for 2010. McGrady's contract is up in 2010. He knows what's up. He doesn't feel wanted. In his mind, I'll bet it's contract extension beyond 2010 or confusing injuries until the contract expires in 2010

LOL, the host precedes the interview by getting on his high horse, calls out another unnamed host, then opens with a hypocritical question.

The latest Rockets podcast covers the same topic but does it in a better fashion.

No - it's unfair to judge him now considering the actual cause of his decline is still pretty contentious. The hope that we can collect the performance we're asking out of our 20m player still has not extinguished; and I doubt even you will deny that the Tracy from a few seasons ago can flourish with this team.

Cosidering the All Star Break, plus the two games we play next week and the minimal games the next, it is a good time for Tmac to sit out.

We will need him for the playoffs. As much as some of you "hate him /doubt him/believe he's lying about the extent of his injuries," he'll be crucial for our success.

Disagree with most of you. We will need McGrady in playoffs to beat some West teams. Without him we can be a very good team; with him being ok, we can be THE TEAM in the west. Take 4-6 weeks and comeback.

Sad to say but that may have been true with old TMac but the attitude TMac has this not true. The Rockets don't need him in order to succeed. If TMac is still here get ready for some more drama and with his current state of being overly sensitive he is bound to quit on the team. I rather take my chances and trade him.

Listen, people who don't belive he worked hard.

David Macha said he was working REALLY HARD. Was he lying? I don't think so.

It is frustrating, because we DON'T KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING. It is not like with his back 2 seasons ago. He was injuried, he went out for 15 games and came back HEALTHLY.

This time we don't know. we don't know what is gonna help his knee recover. Hopefully the 2nd opionion will help him and he will find a great solution just like he found WACO. I really hope...

Btw, that first caller was great.

The first caller was great for stroking TMac and TMac's followers. He will not be healthy this season. Yes, he will be ready next year but why wait another year to find out. TMac needs a new beginning as do the Rockets. I wish him well if he is traded.

Plus, its this year! This season! Its a win it or blow it season! Thats why we brung in Artest for such a short period.

I don't care if Tmac is healthy next season, it will be too late.

Time to part ways, trade his sorry ass!

look tracy knows he's not doing the team any good if he's out there missing dunks and put up 1-9 and things like that. you can't expect your coach to decrease your minutes when that happens and play you more when you play well -> that throws the entire rotation out of whack.

he feels like he has to get fully right in order to play so let him. yea it's frustrating b/c he's in and out of the lineup. but we've seen that "if he's right" (or feels like he's right), he's going to perform.

if tracy feels like "he's not right," then sit out the year.

if tracy feels like "he's right" whatever, then play. but make sure that feeling stays for the entire season.

also if all fails, give him injections ever damn 5-6 days in the playoffs.

he put up 27 pts on his best shooting night after injection shots v. phoenix earlier this yr.

and he played well on those injection shots last yr.

again, IF ALL FAILS. we might have resort to that.

That is excatly what I think.

It is like DWade of last year. T-Mac is not gonna be himself this season, he may get better, maybe even a lot better (it is mental as well) but he will be real T-Mac next season. It is pretty sad but true.

The thing is, he shouldn't shut it down now for the year. I understand it is frustrating, but damn, you gotta be tough and go out there and do your BEST.

Yao is ok, Ron's ankle will improve and damn, they can really do damege in the playoffs.

This guy scored 40 (avegared 27, 7, 7) in the playoffs last year playing on much worse knee and injuried shoulder. It tells us that he can do whatever he wants even when injured, so damn, you gotta shut up and try your best in the postseason.

If it is another 1st round exit (i hope not) T-Mac will have to be traded. It will be better for himself and the team.
