He hurt his calf on Wednesday when Ha ran into it. Probably true.

Why would it be a hoax if they reported it?
Unless it's your hoax. Come on tell us. Is this a April Fools joke?

    Calf Strain
    Diagnosis
Symptoms of a calf strain include:

pain and tenderness in the calf
    stiffness in the calf muscles
    weakness of the calf muscles
bruising on the calf (if blood vessels are broken)
popping sensation as the muscle tears (possibly)
The doctor will ask about your symptoms and medical history, your recent physical activity, and how the injury occurred. The doctor will also examine your calf for:

tenderness and/or bruising directly over the calf muscles
pain when contracting the calf muscles, particularly against resistance
muscle strains are graded according to their severity:
    Grade 1

stretching with some microtearing of muscle fibers
recovery can be complete in about 2 weeks

    Grade 2

    partial tearing of muscle fibers
recovery can take up to 1-2 months

    Grade 3

complete tearing (rupture) of muscle fibers
recovery can take more than 3 months
surgery may be needed to repair the torn muscle fibers (very rare)
For a severe calf strain, you may have a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan to see if the tearing requires surgical repair. Professional athletes sometimes have MRI scans to help predict the length of their recovery period.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the two scrubs of league Zarbaka and a dude named HA cause injury to our players, at not the greatest of times for a player to be injured. this better not be a serious strain.

It can't be that serious...he stayed in the game after it happened.

No seriously, they said so on SR610, now it might be a 'hoax' on their part, but it would be a pretty dumb and not so funny one, if that is the case.

I think it might be true given that he was hit hard by the fouling machine.

Oh, BTW, did you catch this JVG quote following the Blazers' game?

...while Yao was unhurt, the play caused Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy to grimace. Van Gundy paused a long time when asked about Ha after the game.

    "He fouls," Van Gundy said.
    :D :D

    Classic JVG humor

This is probably our easiest game left till the end of the season. Maybe JVG is just trying to get our players some rest. I wouldn't be surprised to see Wesley or Sura sit out a game each in the next couple weeks either.

If there's a game that would be OK for Yao to miss, it would be this one.

I'm disappointed for the fans who wanted to see him play though. I'm sure you'll get to see him sitting in the stands at least ...

Yao needs rest anyway. The March schedule almost killed him.
