It is me or are they just horribly boring? I think Ware is very good as a special guest and color commentator. His college football work is excellent. Neither one of those guys are the kind that can just talk for hours naturally. They don't sound comfortable in their role at all, and don't show any natural ability to "host".
it is kinda painful, and i hate to say that because i like both guys. they just need someone to liven it up some.
i completely agree- its pretty dull. they are both similar type of guys in the sense that they need a dominator with them. 2 sidekicks does not equal 1 great show
They should have moved Matt and Adam to the morning show. Kept Marc and Rick where they were. Move Andre ware and the general to the 3am slot.
Whats weird is I Loved Mark with Rich in the afternoon but with Andre in the morning it is boring! its not like i can turn to 790 in the morning cause they dont even talk about sports half the time.
Did anyone catch the bit today where Andre compared Federer/Nadal to UT/Oklahoma (in that they are both rivalries)? It was never so apparent that he just had nothing to add to the conversation. Adam even called him on it immediately afterward in a joking manner, only it was kind of uncomfortable because his comment, like so many of his comments, was so boring and commonplace. And, ugh... Davies and Dukes... Here's hoping KILE is listenable.
I don't know why they felt that they had to give Vandermeer a show anyways....let the guy do what he does best...which is call the Texans' games. He's just a little too "Cool Daddy-o" for me in the morning. Then again...anything's better than Carl Dukes and Marge Simpson every morning.
I like Dre. A couple of things make the 610 morning show work for me. First, they are ten thousand times better than Davies and Dukes. That is the worst show in the history of Houston Sports Talk radio. Secondly, Dre and Vandameer bring a different sound than your usual morning show. They seem to talk sports alot more than John and Lance. That being said, Pallilo is the best.
I tried it and quickly turned the station. BOR-ing. I've tried D & D in the morning, but POLL after m-f'ing Poll talk is friggin' beyond boring. Plus the show just sucks. Back to 93.7 until I get over my laziness and get Sirius in the house.
I stopped listening about three weeks ago. The sooner Ware is gone from 610 as a steady radio host the better. Until then I won't listen. He rubs me the wrong way.
You want my honest opinion? I'd rather have my dick julienned, smothered in my own diarrhea, and shoved forcefully down my ****ing throat than to listen to those guys for an entire show.
Right now, AM610's greatest strength is their sorry competition. The only local show that is listenable on AM790 or FM97.5 is Charlie Palilo. AM610 could completely self-destruct (like they are doing now) and still end up #1 in the ratings because the other two stations are so bad. I was totally locked into the Morning Show for the short time when Lance and Mattj were together. Now it's usually either news on 740 or no radio at all. Mark and Andre just aren't working out. I guess 610 doesn't want to hurt their feelings by making another change so quickly. Ratings-wise, maybe they don't need to since Davies and Dukes is so bad.
Vandameer only knows football Ware only knows football They both should stick to doing the Texans games. CP on 790 is the only listenable program for me. Everything else is garbage.... Oh and when the hell are Davies and Dukes going to talk sports instead of girls and other stupid ****? They are always laughing at themselves.....
