    - Asked if franchising Carr and drafting Young was an option and said "Of course it is". Said Carr obviously wouldn't like it (Just like Brees didn't like it), but it would be roughly $10 in his pocket for one season.

    - Bush's stock didn't drop one bit. Still looked at like one of the best prospects ever.

    - Young's leadership and poise in big games since highschool is a HUGE plus.

    - Improvement since middle of last season has REALLY made his stock go through the roof.

    - Bush is still great but QB's careers are longer.

    - Just kept talking about Young's continued progress (especially in his passing) with no setbacks and leadership skills.

Continues. Will recap every commercial break if ya'll like.

    - Kubiak had a great interview and is front runner. Being backup to Elway gives him experience with a mobile QB. The only place he wants to coach is home. REALLY prepared for the interview and really wants the job.

    - Cap going up this season. From $84 million to between $90-$100 million. Will go higher if they redo the CBA. This is why they can afford giving Carr the franchise tag and pay the #1 pick.

I know some of this isn't about Young/Bush, but just interesting info.

    - McNair will spend money on good coaches. Important to pick coach quick so they can go after the best staff.

    - Should have a much better O-line through draft and higher cap gives them money to spend on free agents.

    - Texans really like Bush still and still could draft him

    - Mentioned again how Young has improved in the last year and, if he continues to improve (especially with NFL coaching), no telling how good he can be.

    - Told McClain that Casserley still said they would pick up Carr's option this morniing. McClain said that is their intent, but it can change.

    - Hard to tell who they want to pick. Doesn't really know since no one can comment on juniors.

    Thanks for the recap!!!

I guess we'll know the Texans' intent on 1/15. I think that if Texans plan on drafting VY, he will declare himself eligible.

McClain and Justice were the main ones on Bush's jock now after the Rose Bowl they are on the Vince bandwagon. I still say the Texans draft Bush and thats the right pick.

Oh, just remembered something he said in the first segement.

    - Said RB's are a dime-a-dozen. Can't teach poise and leadership.

what you guys keep forgetting is that no one thought VY was coming out until after that game. the fact he won and played the way he did, coupled with the fact the Houston franchise has the first pick, is why there is a greater likelihood his name is in the mix. before this, most thought he was going back to Austin.

I am not familiar with the NFL rules. Is it legal for a team to tell a certain player that they are going to use a high pick on him so he will declare himself eligible?

Oh, then the Texans has to think of another way to 'communicate' with Vince Young then. :D

    - Last season Vick had a good TD/Int ratio, his coach was Dan Reeves.

    - Vick 6 ft. and not drafted for his passing, just by his electric running.

    - Running QB's don't make it over time in the NFL, but Young has pocket presence. Scouts saw how USC's rush never bothered him.

    - Bush was a no brainer cause of the huge drop off in the draft after him.

    - They have to think about ticket sales. The only guy who would sell more tickets than Bush is Young.

    - Could be within two weeks they announce a coach, especially if it's Kubiak.

    - Said Vince Young IS coming out in the draft.

OK, I tried the best I could to get everything. Sorry of I missed a few things. Maybe someone can fill in a few holes.

McClain really seemd as if he was siding on Vince Young as the guy the Texans should get.

I'm on the fence about who to draft. I haven't seen enough of either guy to make an educated decision on who the Texans should pick. I do find it interesting how everyone has really switched their mindsets within only a day or two. Though, I think the Young love and prognosticating of his future has been way overboard.

I guess I will be happy with either. I'm happy as a Texans' fan that we have the #1 pick so we have the opportunity to pick between 2-3 can;t miss great players. The only thing with Young is the fact he would probably not see the light of day his first season. I would understand it and deal with it, I just love seeing our new player play.

McClain's opinion (and his information he gets from his sources) is something I really trust, so his show today has really raised my eyebrows more in terms of Vince Young.

They intervied VY's mom on 13. She said they wern't rushing into it. When asked what he thought about being the 1st pick selected by the Texans she said Vy would love to come back home, loves the city, and it would factor into his desicion.

Anchor made it apoint to let Texans know that VY wanted to come home.

It hasn't even been a week since the Rose Bowl and local media is jumping all over this. There is gonna be so much pressure put on them from fans and media.

Translation: Vince Young will declare himself eligible for the draft if the Texans make a commitment to use the 1st pick on him. :)

there are talks/rumors out of miami that Saban would deal for Carr. From what I read from (www.houstonprofootball.com) the deal is Carr for Ricky Williams and a conditional draft pick.

In my opinion, I would love to jump with a deal like this for Carr. I think Ricky (especially with his performance the end of the season: 270 yards rushing in 2 games) can still be a 12-1300 yard back with DD spelling him. Along with a 2nd round pick, I think both sides would come out even on this deal. Saban gets his franchise QB for the team to pair up with Ronnie Brown and the Texans get a former 1800 yard back (who is gonna make 550,000 league minimum for the next 2 years) and a 2nd round pick.

That way, you pick Vince with the #1 overall pick, sign a Kitna type so Vince sits for a year, then aim to have a .500 season while Vince sits.

Like I said in earlier posts, I don't know if Bush can run in between the tackles in the NFL. He has lightning quick speed but I don't want my #1 overall franchise RB only carrying the ball 12-13 times a game (a la Brian Westbrook). I've seen every single Longhorn Football game the last 6 years and you just see it. Vince is simply special. He may not have the best techniques in the game but one thing you can never question is his heart, determination, and leadership. He'll find a way to succeed in the next level.

Bush or Young, either one is gonna be a superstar. This is such a great situation for our team. I am so glad the Texans lost those close games at the end of the season. Would have been a disaster if we fell down to the 3rd or 4th spot.
