Some idiot just called and asked a question about Jeff Bagwell. You get a chance to ask a Rocket Hall of Famer anything you want, and you're going to ask about Jeff Bagwell???? Calvin just said Dirk choked in the playoffs!
I can't catch it since I'm at work. Someone usually does, but just in case...could someone recap for me?? Thanks!
I'll try, but I don't want to pad my post count, so I'm going to do it via EDIT. -The draft is not as deep as it used to be because US players are good atheletes but can't really play -TMac has to stay healthy, but Yao still needs to be the #1 scoring option. Everything must go through Yao whether TMac is healthy or not. -No pity for the mavericks. It's their own fault they lost, Dirk choked! -Played in an exibition game with Dennis Rodman and he was playing out of his mind. -He's not wearing a purple suit, he's wearing an Astro shirt. He's not a bandwagon fan -Calvin was taught to play by his Mother, who used to play guard. -Each player should be responsible for his own motivation. No one player should be responsibile for motivating other players. Rockets should get players who motivate themselves on their own. -We shouldn't have traded MJ in the first place. He hopes we get him back. He was a player with passion and we don't have enough of those -Calvin confirms that he does indeed still look good. A pimp can't afford to dress like him. -Misses being on the broadcasts. Misses Bill Worrell because he "put color in his life" Broadcasting is harder than it seems, but Worrell taught him the ropes. -He would "very much" like to be back on the air. If the Rockets asked him back, he would hold no hard feelings and go back. Anything can happen. -Last year was hard for him, because he will always be a Rocket. He still broadcasts to his kids when he watches the games. He really misses it. -Told John Granato to stay off the drugs. He played pee-wee hockey, twirled batan, gold glove boxer, and baseball as a kid. His Mother put him in as many activities as possible. -2 callers called to say they want him back with Bill on the TV broadcasts. Granato ended the segement by saying the same thing. Man, I hope there is some way the Rockets can bring him back. I really miss him on the games.
Yeah, you're running a little low on posts. If you don't get your number up, you'll lose credibility pretty quickly. Thanks for the recap! And I wish MANY more people did Edits in situations like this because it keeps me from having to scroll through a bunch of useless posts to get the info!!
LOL! God I miss Murph...hope he's back with the Rockets in some capacity. His flamboyance and personality is much needed on Rockets telecasts. PLEASE get rid of Drexler.
I asked Murph during the Draft Party if he's ever coming back and he said, "No. No, I don't think so." I was sorry I asked because he suddenly went from really happy to a little sad with that response.
I love Calvin, and i don't care about all that other crap, which is none of anyone's business anyway. Bring him back. I don't think I can take another year of Drexler.
That is sad. This is another one of Rocket management's continuing bungles. By re-hiring Calvin they could regain so much of the fan esteem they recently lost in that stupid trade. However, they apparently are too petty to consider it.
les if you're reading this.... BRING BACK CALVIN!!! he was your best guy! the fans want him back! we love this guy! broadcasts AREN'T THE SAME!
