Are you serious? I just got out of a smoothie king that cost me 6.50 for a 32 oz strawberry kiwi breeze drink. I'm gonna start making my own smoothie, if they keep bumping up the price like this.. I freaking love smoothies too, why chew on a piece of fruit using your jaw muscles while instead, you can just suck and slurp up the granulated pieces of edible fruits, mmmm!!!
A smoothie of that size is generally a meal replacement. So think of it as you spent $6.50 for a meal. Not too bad.
jesus, how do you drink 32 oz of that? 6.50 doesnt seem too crazy for that much...but nobody should be drinking that much smoothie.
the largest size peanut butter smoothie at jamba juice has like 2000 calories and around 250 sugar grams
I got a small strawberry & banana smoothie one day to keep my daughter from driving me crazy and I got her some tiny bag of trail mix they had and my total was like 13 bucks. She didn't even drink it.
I see people eating these for lunch all the time and i agree with your post although I couldn't personally do it.
Did another baby just fall out of me? I only have ONE KID, not kids. Plus she's awesome. She knows how to say GO ROCKETS with her Rockets foam finger & pom-pom.
I make my own strawberry banana smoothies, and it tastes better than Smoothie King's. I've drunk them every day since January when I started training for my marathon (in May). Secret ingredients: strawberry yogurt, soy protein for texture/constitution, and lots of vitamin C in place of honey. I just wasn't tasting the honey.
That is outrageous...I go to Fat Straws and a regular Strawberry pina colada is about $3.65... As for my protein shakes, I make them at home...
I make smoothies all the time in my magic bullet. I buy big bags of mixed frozen fruit and use it. This is great because you don't have to use ice. 1 banana vanilla non fat yougart frozen fruit Great smoothies, no need to add any sweeteners.
