1st of all let me announce the seedings 1-7

Sacramento and New Orleans having gone 8-2 and 7-3 in their last 10 games have propelled themselves into the playoff race. But theres only 1 spot for 5 teams.

    Current Standings
    8) LAC 25-25
    GSW 24-27
    NOK 24-27
    MIN 23-27
    SAC 22-26

Of these teams who do you see making it and who do you think matches up BEST against the Mavs?

Before you chose here are some things to consider:

    Number of Home Games remaining
    LAC: 16
    GSW: 15
    NOK: 14
    MIN: 18
    SAC: 15

    Strength of Schedule Rankings
    1) SAC (8th overall)
    2) MIN (9th overall)
    3) NOK (10th overall)
    4) GSW (15th overall)
    5) LAC (16th overall)

Based on opposing teams winning % the Kings have had the hardest schedule thus far and so as of right now they should have the easier schedule barring anymore injuries.

    PT Differential
    LAC: -1.0
    GSW: -1.9
    NOK: -2.2
    MIN: -0.9
    SAC: 0

PT Differential is important because its a great barometer of how well teams have been performing, but it doesnt take into account injuries teams may have suffered like NOK losing CP3. That said the team thats been playing better than their record shows is Sacramento, they have a pt differential mostly associated with a team that sports a .500 record so theyve most likely been coming up short in close games.

Thats all and honestly being a Clipper fan I want them to make it but they dont seem to have that hunger they had last year. I wouldnt be surprised to see any of these teams make it but the team I think would be the best against Dallas is the Clippers, because if they play to their potential they have the best combination of depth, Go 2 guys, Size, and versatility. Of course KG back in the playoffs wouldnt be so bad.

I think NOK will surprise alot of people, they will end up getting the 8th spot.

A definate possability now that Chris Paul is back but theyre at the bottom of the list of teams I WANT to see in the playoffs. They lack any sort of playoff experience to give Dallas a few fits, even if they dont win the series. I want the team that makes it to be able to make Dallas play as many games as possible.

I don't care who gets the last spot - I'm just thrilled that this far into the season, the Rockets aren't HOPING to catch up and get that spot.

What are you talking about? Mavs will crush them in an instant. The only team that might give them a hard time in the first round is the Timberwolves.

Who the hornets? If so then I completely agree they just dont have the experience to even put up a fight, but the Clips and Twolves would be the teams best fit for the postseason. They can play some defense and have go 2 guys. Clips have more versatility and proven clutch players though so Id give them the edge.

To give the Mavs the most trouble, I'm pulling for Minn. But, I don't think they'll manage it.
