13 guys are locks, I think:

    Howard / Dorsey
    Jones / Motiejunas / Capela
    Ariza / Papanikolaou
    Harden / Daniels / Terry
    Beverley / Canaan / Johnson

5 guys signed but only 2 spots left:

    Powell
    Adrien
    Covington
    Garcia
    Smith

Garcia is a lock and Adrien is almost a lock. Powell sucks, No room/time/role for covington or smith

I think Powell is for sure gone. Smith also because they just don't have room for another PG.

So it comes down to Adrien, Garcia, and Covington.

I'm assuming Adrien makes it because they need some big man depth.

So will they just cut Covington after he had such success in the d-league?

They didn't sign Garcia to cut him. He's pretty much a lock.

Covington is not too bad at the DLeague level. But he doesn't seem to have much upside from here on. So it's probably not worth keeping him around.

Adrien is kind of the same. But he has the size advantage.

Ish is a bordenline NBA player. We have Canaan who still have some potential to be the third string guy. But if Bev's health is in question, we might actually want to have one more PG.

Powell is just not good enough.

So here's how I'd rank them in order of likelihood to make the roster:
    Garcia
    Adrien
    Smith
    Covington
    Powell

Garcia and Adrian are far and away the best of those five players.

    Garcia is a lock.

Adrian is MUCH more of a lock than Dorsey.

I think those two make the squad.

In the 10 games Adrien logged 30+ minutes last season, he averaged a cool 15 & 10. Like Dorsey, he has really developed his game since his first stint here.

Covington, Smith, and Powell cut. Covington does not look an nba player regardless of his d league success

Good topic, but just pointing out that it's confusing when the thread title asks who gets cut and the poll says Pick 2.

Agreed based on a talent level, but I don't think you pull a guy out of Europe only to jilt him in the pre-season.

I think Ish Smith's spot on the roster was taken by Johnson during the summer league, so Dorsey has a place for now.

Yeah, I noticed that right after I submitted the thread. I'd like to edit the thread title, but I don't have the ability.

Powell and Smith are easy cuts. Garcia is obviously making it. Toss up between adrian and covington

Covington is a grade A scrub
Powell is a grade A cheer leader
SMmith is just training camp fodder

The above 3 should be cut

Adrien is a high energy guy, good reboudner despite beign undersized
Garcia showed enough in FIBA to deserve a spot

The above two should be in

Let's put away the crystal balls till a few weeks of preseason at least k ?

I have no clue and how they fit with the rotation and level of play kinda need to be considered ya think ?

In a perfect world, they'd all be cut and we'd get 2 more guys who are better than any of them.

I still like Robert Covington's potential. I think he can be an extremely useful NBA wing...

That's what makes it interesting. See what people say before camp and see what people say right before the final cuts are made.

Covington to the 76'ers for a future second (most likely not the 76'ers own 2nd)

Powell still has value if morey is willing eat up 2mill of a gaureenteed salary in the case of a trade like the terry trade and seems like a solid locker room guy but my guess is cut (would have to outplay Dorsey )

Cisco killed the FIBA WC so he's a lock and Adrian is a beast on advanced stats (much like how Hamilton was) so morey will atleast want to see how he goes.

Hopefully morey can figure something out with ish because he deserves to be in the league and getting paid

I agree Adrien is more of a lock than Dorsey, Covington, Smith and Powell.

I would prefer him over Garcia, the others proabably do not
