    Just a heads up...

I was looking to make some changes to my Comcast subscription today, and I ended up adding Showtime to satisfy my Dexter needs. The customer service rep I talked to ended up giving it to me for only $5.99 a month for the first 6 months. It's not a huge discount, given that it's normally about $13, but every little bit counts.

So I suggest those of you who are addicted to Dexter or any other Showtime programs like Weeds, Tudors, Californication, etc. but don't have the channel, make a call (or use the site's chat feature) to inquire about this deal.

Personally, I'm just going to keep it for the few months that Dexter is on and then cancel it :)

Cleverly disguised "I want Dexter to have my babies" thread.

Isn't that the only reason anyone has Showtime?

Even with the discount, 5.99 is a lot to pay just for Dexter. Isn't Dexter on Hulu? Usually if there is a show I want to watch on premium TV that I don't have I just "purchase" it from the Interweb.

It's a marketing trap, you get the cheap rate for 6 months and then it automatically goes up with out any notice. You have to call them to cancel.

    Everyone already knows this.

In my case, not only will I be cancelling Showtime in 3 months, but possibly my cable service altogether. So it will be long gone by the time the promotional price expires.
