This is sad...they said she is brain dead

    Sexual-Assault Victim, 2, Near Death

LEAGUE CITY, Texas -- A 2-year-old girl who was beaten and sexually assaulted by her father was placed on life-support equipment, League City police told News2Houston Monday.

Frank Padilla, 44, confessed to the assault and faces two counts of capital murder if the child dies, according to authorities.

The abuse took place in the family's League City apartment, police said.

"On Friday, Mr. Padilla took 2-year-old Linda to St. John's Hospital in Nassau Bay and told the doctors that she had fallen off a sink," said Capt. Pat Bittner, with the League City Police Department.

Doctors suspected abuse and called police

"She had a broken pelvis, fractured skull, broken ribs, black and blue eyes, and she'd been sexually assaulted," Bittner said.

"He did talk about it being a toilet training problem -- that she had gone to the bathroom in her clothes and that that enraged him," said Judy Hay, with Harris County Children's Protective Services.

The toddler is not expected to live. She will be taken off life-support equipment Tuesday so her organs can be donated, doctors said.

Authorities said they do not know how long the abuse had been going on, but said Friday's incident was not the first time.

The child's mother was not home and police believe she did not suspect anything.

"She did not experience this man as violent, she said. I think now she feels she did not know him," Hay said.

Police said it was the worst case of child abuse that they had ever seen.

"Well, there's never been any cases like this in League City. We have never had a child as severely injured in one episode as this 2-year-old girl was. It is unforgivable," Bittner said.

Padilla's bond was set at $500,000.

Why are you making this political?

Besides, I know I don't support the death penalty because there is always the possibility of executing an innocent person. After the fiasco with our own crime lab, I thought more people would get the point.

Actually, I would guarantee you that this guy will face a far more frightening and painful punishment if he is sent to prison. Child molesters are considered dog**** in prison, and this guy would probably be violently raped every day for the rest of his life.

If he's sent to death row the chances of him getting raped there are slim to none. They are kept in single man cells and are only allowed to recreate alone. No human contact aside from guards leading them around and the like.

Now, if he's not given the death penalty, that's another story.

Stuff like this doesn't always get national attention, so we don't hear about it in other places.

I mean, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre is "based" on a true story that actually took place in Wisconsin if I'm not mistaken. It's the same story Psycho is based on as well.

This is correct. Ed Gein was his name. The Buffalo Bill character in Silence of the Lambs was also loosely based on him. He made furniture covered by human skin. Belts made of women's skin, nipples and noses. Truly a disgusting person.

Ya know, I live here in League City, and it used to be such a quiet, quaint little town. But no more. We keep hearing about more and more despicable stuff every week. My wife and I thought we would live here forever. Now I'm not so sure.

I was driving down Main St. earlier today, when I saw a Channel 2 News truck park on Main, with it's antenna up. I called my wife and told her to be on the look out for some news story. Now I wish I had never seen the truck, much less the reason why it is here.

I could not be a cop. I would have beaten that guy to death once I found out what he did.

A close friend of mine is selling her house in League City and moving up to Austin this month for the exact reasons you mentioned. She can't believe how much the city has changed for the worse. Its the same for my old stomping grounds in Clear Lake, all sorts of crazy stuff is happening these days... :(

People like this guy should have their dicks cut off and then be forced to eat it.

    Bastards.

I don't think he deserves the death penalty. I hate to wish harm anybody, even some of the most evil people, but I personally think a life time worth of ass rapage and beat downs in prison would be far worse a punishment then giving the guy the death penalty. I mean could you imagine 30 straight years of getting your ass reamed by 300+ lbs Bubbas til your in your 70s and then dieing painfully? Doesn't that sound like much worse a punishment then just injecting a few fairly painless needles in a person? If you ask me, the death penalty seems like the easy way out.
