He's actually not that bad. I don't know if he's ready to become houston's greatest rapper, but not bad.
Hes got a UGK feel to him.. I stopped it about halfway through cause I started getting a headache. Nice flow..but I wouldn't buy his cd. Then again, I wouldn't buy any cd.
the video title is misleading as hell, because the last time I looked... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/uv1A_S79Cuw&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/uv1A_S79Cuw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> has it on lock.
Well at least he was responsible and put the vehicle in park before professing his greatness. jk. I liked it. But Barry Sanders? Did I hear Emmitt Smith? He needs more contemporary running backs or something.
This is the future of hip hop and he's from Houston. This kid is probably the most creative artist ive heard outta of our city. His music actually has a message unlike most the trash we here. Check out his mixtapes on his ILIKE page. Ladies and gentlemen I present Hyro Da Hero. And as for the poster's first rapper, he has talent but no substance in his music. LOL, he produced all but 2 tracks on his latest mixtape. Dude has crazy talent. If your into Rick ross, plies T.I, well his music aint really for that core of audience. You can check him on the new AP magazine as one of the 100 artist to look out for in 2009.
Nah man I don't get down with t.i. or mainstream rap in general. I listen to underground rap. I don't let magazines determine who I think is good or not. And frankly the dude doesn't have one song that even grabs my attention, it just might be the old school in me, but the dude is just another one trying to make it by promotion with no real music to back it up.
that pic has wayyyy to much goin on in it. back to original topic. i couldnt listen to the whole thing.clearly you said hip hop and i got some kind of rap that reminds me of paul wall. houston rap sounds the same to me. most sounther rap other than ATL sounds the same to me and even if you wouldnt have had local artist i could already tell where he was from.i am the biggest fan and appreciate real hip hop. nowadays is alot of this watered down fake wanna be hip hop. no offense. when you say hip hop i expect murs, lupe, de la soul, kanye, nas, common, even outkast, little brother, and public enemy just to name a few . and they all have their own unique style which makes you unable to tell where they are from.IMO. of course its not about that its the message being sent through your flo and i aint fellin his. it more to money cars clothes and hoes.
Really? Are You kidding? If not .. . I hate to inform you that he went to Prison for Pedophilia Indecency with a Child Rocket River
check out k-rino if you want houston hip-hop. nobody is even on his level when it comes to lyrics. Not in houston atleast.
Damn, I came in here looking for a Bell Biv Devoe update or something. Kris Kross will make you jump, jump anyone? Come on, some of you wore your clothes backwards for a summer or two, admit it!
I'm not sure what you're getting at, T.I.'s word play and concepts (atleast on his last album) are much better than this Hyro guy. As far as the OP goes, your boy will have a hard time making it unless he's 'earned his stripes' and talks about it explicitly in his lyrics. Part of the reason mainstream isn't that into Houston rap anymore is because there's too much safe rap here. Guys like Paul Wall and Mike Jones just end up talking about nothing because they're not really thugs but they're not really on the same intellectual level of a Lupe Fiasco. I wish people would just make music that makes them feel good, be themselves. My cousin has a group called JUZCOZ. They're not thugs, they're not particularly political, they're not all about social issues. JUZCOZ performing...No southern/Houston rap doesn't all sound the same. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/uioxNuD-lRQ&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/uioxNuD-lRQ&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
