Not a list of attainable/best players, just players around the price range. 4.2 mil TE (125% + 100k) = 5.35 mil player Seattle - Earl Watson *Wilcox, Restricted FA *Rashard, Player Option 2007 *Collison, RFA 2007 *Ridnour, RFA 2007 Pacers - Jasikevicius, Fred Jones *Peja, PO *Would welcome salary cap relief TE brings 76ers - Kyle Korver *Would welcome salary cap relief TE brings Toronto - Mo Pete *If Coleangelo is looking to clean house Minny - Trenton Hassell Spurs - Brent Barry
seriously 4.2 TE can really bring us some good help. Remember we had MJ with our TE. I hope we can find a shooter. If phx can find shooters every season then why can't we.
Doesn't work that way. Players aquired with a TE have to flat out be less than or equal to the exception.
ok, then it'd be these guys: Pacers - targets: Jasikevicius, Fred Jones reasons: *Peja, PO *Would welcome salary cap relief TE brings 76ers - target: Kyle Korver reason: *Would welcome salary cap relief TE brings Toronto - target: Mo Pete reason: *If Coleangelo is looking to clean house Minny - target: Trenton Hassell
How about Bobby Jackson. I think he is a FA or if he is not then we can get him for TE. Also Damon Stoudamire can come here with the TE. We can also go after Mike dunleavy. He is a FA.
Mo Pete is over 4.2 and Hassell according to hoopshype, which isn't necessarily accurate is also barely over 4.2 Honestly the best targets for the TE are guys on a rookie deal. But teams are usually not willing to move those cost-effective rookie contracts. Otherwise, this is exactly where Morey is supposed to shine. Finding young guys on somebody's bench that "statistically speaking" could thrive with more minutes.
one more revision: Pacers - targets: Jasikevicius, Fred Jones reasons: *Peja, PO *Would welcome salary cap relief TE brings 76ers - target: Kyle Korver reason: *Would welcome salary cap relief TE brings Grizzlies - Stoudamire Nets - McInnis Bulls - Duhon, Nocioni Hawks - Zaza
Like you've said teams aren't usually willing to move rookies but if they were Rocks have another 1.67 TE which would cover most rookie contracts.
If we take Dunleavy's egregious contract off GS's payrole, Les may just as well spend $50 millions to help the poor kids in Iraq. I mean, at least he gets more publicity that way.
Everybody's forgotten but we've got another trade exception that we could actually combine with another player and trade. David Wesley can be signed and aggregated in a trade with another player to a team looking to dump a larger contract.
I'd rather try to steal a player like Antoine Wright -- even if he is a former Aggie -- from New Jersey. Wright is stuck behind Vince Carter and may be available, and they need cap room to get K-Mart back. J.R. Smith of the Hornets could be another target. There are lots of potential steals out there rather than the same old retreads.
