I wonder if this is why the Rockets leaked that they are working out Clingan, just to play games with Atlanta.

Clearly Sheppard for me but I’d gauge the demand for Risacher and attempt to get some additional assets to trade down if it’s possible.

Don't think the Clingan to Hawks stuff is a smokescreen. Dude is a much better talent than Sarr. But smokescreen season is underway so maybe the Hawks are trying to trade down.

Rockets need to stand pat and just take Reed. Stone has had nothing but easy decisions with Top 4 picks and this is another.

I could see it, if we could fool them into thinking we were actually interested in Clingan, it might make them think twice about dealing with San Antonio.

That said, I doubt they'd really believe the Rockets had any interest in him because there's just no reason for them to have any interest in him whatsoever.

Whereas I'm over here in Colorado like

Would be a good pick, but also perfectly fine if we go another direction

I will be okay with whoever as long as it’s not Buzelis or Holland. Just say no to the ignite guys. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice…..don’t get fooled again.

Sarr is pretty intriguing as a jumbo forward with Jabari and Alperen, not gonna lie.

None of you bastards could cry about size anymore, and that might be worth it in and of itself...

    Hawks at 1: Sarr/Clingan
Wizards at 2: Bilal/Deni, I don't think they choose Zacc. I think it is also Sarr/Clingan.

Zacc is going to be there at 3. With our forward group, I am not interested. Reed brings the off-ball movement that we desperately need, and Sarr gives us the tools to match up with any team that ever existed defensively. These two would be my preferences If we are stuck at 3.

    Said it's a "private workout".
Could more than one team (Atlanta) attend a private workout?
Could we be looking to trade up for Sarr (#3 + future Brooklyn pick)?

I think people overlooked the fact that Clingan is top 3 analytically this year. He is also terrifically impactful and brings lineup versatility to the game. We got trashed in those minutes without goon (except for the Mickey Mouse run at the end of the season), so having him off those Sengun minutes might be huge. (I do question the value of picking this high a backup but that’s where the value is in this draft).

I’m higher on Shep, and even favors guys that add to the defensive ground coverage / recovery and creation (Buzelis, Risacher) to our game (a la a Boston Celtics) but wouldn’t be surprised a bit if the Rockets go with Clingan.

For me, assuming all are available since the top two are not a given:
    1 - Sarr
    2 - Risacher
    3 - Reed
4 - Topic (this was moreso prior to injury, but if looking long term he might have most potential - if we trade down, I would be more than happy with him)
    5 - Clingan
6 - Knecht or the other French guy.

Im a Bub guy. Another great trade-back target if the rockets go that route.

If Reed/Risacher is taken @3, and the 21 pick is available, just grab it.
Nice place to select the complementary lob threat, one of Edey, Ware, Missi, Chomche.
that roster should be ready for any kind of Playing style.

I can't believe Bronny James and Zach Edey have the same odds.
