Took a peek at the Nissan 350Z at Sterling McCall Nissan on 59 South this Saturday. In a word: WOW! The one I saw was silver and it was soooo sweet! The salesman said the base price on these babies were around $27,000 and fully-loaded around $35,000. I think I've "fallen" and I don't want to get up! *I'm also looking forward to seeing the Infiniti G35 coupe up-close and personal when they hit the dealerships come November. These two cars will compete for top honors this year!
I saw this car and the car show this year. Sweet car. The roof looks a little weird, but the car is quick. With the camaro going out of production, I am looking forward to the new Pontiac GTO and the 2003 Mustang Cobra with 390hp. I am pretty sure that I will get a Cobra when I pay off my Camaro SS. If my wife lets me...
I'm already in love with the G35 coupe...I personally prefer its looks to the Z. I don't typically buy anything in its first product year, but damn Infiniti is sure making it hard for me...
x34, I'm happy with our G35. They cut corners on the body (kinda 'tinny' compared to a beemer), paint, and the interior (a little too much cheap plastic) to keep the cost down, but it's remarkably roomy and the nav sytem is great. Oh yeah, and it's fast as cr*p, too.
The Wall Street Journal's review of it was less than enthusiastic. If I remember (this was a month ago), they said the pedal placement was somewhat awkward, the gearshift slots were on the slim side (and thus a little hard to find), and the upholstry was falling to **** even though the car was only a few weeks old. So at least get leather.
My friend's dad got the 350Z, black with burnt orange interio all i have to say is NICE AS HELL, and very quick also
That new Z is one bad b!tch....... And surprisingly, the price is pretty reasonable! You know some wanker is going to rice one up and put the lawn mower exhaust on that baby. Tune into Westheimer Ave in about 3 weeks for an up close and personal view of a Z all riced up and ready to race!
The Pontiac GTO isn't exactly something revolutionary. It's being built by GM's Holden division in Australia. It's known there as the Holden Monaro. Oh, and of course it's RWD... Pontiac fans would've shot Pontiac if they made a legendary car reborn like this FWD.
I hate to say it, but I think both the Mazda and the Goat are better looking than the Z. And though pretty much the same, I like the looks of the Infinity better too. The last RX-7 was awesome, and I'm sure this new RX-8 will be cool....but I'd be a little worried that the car would be a little loose not having a B-pillar. As for the goat, I think it looks prety nice in the photo. Six speed, over 300 hundred ponies, and rear wheel drive too. It might be pretty cool if they make it a "nice" car instead of one of those $20K crap-rockets that only appeal to teens. (like the camaros and firebirds)
Dude - WTF are you talking about Camaros/Firebirds being crap-rockets? A Z-28 model can hang with almost any car on the road. And if you want to get a "nice" version you can get the Camaro SS or the WS6 in the 30k range that will challenge a Vette. Crap-Rockets are Miata's and Rice-Burners with wings big enough for a 747 to use.
If I recall correctly the successor to the RX-7 is in the works... the RX-8 isn't "the next RX-7". I must admit I like the RX-8, but it looks too dainty... I dunno, maybe it's just me. If given the choice between the G35 and the 350Z, it'd be a tough choice for me... I'd probably flip a coin.
