What a rollercoater ride this year. But guess what? The Rockets have the same record as last year. They were 35-20 on Feb 25 after a win in orlando last year. They finished 52-30. Over/Under 52? I say over by about three. I say 55-27.

So they went 17-10 the rest of the way? I think we can beat that!

OVER - We're going to win the division and square off in the WCF's (which is really for all the marbles) with the Lakers...If we're healthy against the Lakers I see no reason why we're not finishing up the Eastern Conference fodder in June.

Does anybody else remember how many ".500" naysayers there were after Yao got injured?

It's like the same...every year.

There is only a 3 game difference between us an the top spot (maybe less when NO loses tonight).

Every single other team has made big changes in their line-ups (except Jazz), and we still have the same rotation before the trade than after (Landry and Head take up Bonzi's minutes pretty well), so we aren't going to go through that adjustment period like everyone else will.

I would not be surprised if we have the top spot this time next month.

We've got the same record, but in a much more competitive Western Conference this year. I think that record means even more this season, but we do have a bunch of tough roadies remaining.

I'll take the over, anyways.

Sometimes no changes (or very little) are the best. Keeps chemistry and consistency.

I still think last year's run was more impressive. We won with both Yao and Tracy out a significant amount of time.

Last season you know they've hit the ceiling. This season you know the team is improving and still has room to improve. That's the main difference.

Um... we never won with both of them out, and we never won much with McGrady out.

We won a good amount without Yao, but we didn't get a whole lot better when he returned.

The Rockets haven't been on a roll like this in ages.

It was. The people who say it was not prefer that the rest of us forget about the significant upgrade in talent this season.

    I pick over... about 2.

I truly believe this team can make a run to the Finals. The only thing I'm worried about is what kinda Eastern Conference monster we'll be facing in the Finals. Gives me chills every time I think about it.

Don't forget that this year in the west, the competition is stiffer. All elite teams from last year are not on pace to match what they had, especially mavericks. And even if the suns match last season, its because they smash the bottom feeders.

Point is...matching last year's record this year is a feat that I don't think JVG could have accomplished (no pun intended)

I don't think the Eastern Conference works like that anymore.

You know, for all the trash talk about JVG, he did get the Rockets to a 52 win season with both Yao and Tracy out for large chunks of the year. You gotta give him some credit for that!
