Credit to Clutch. I think it deserves its own thread. No mention of Sengun, is it just coincidence or Stone secretly trying to move him?
Good interview. Listening to the interview, he was asked fairly pointed questions, and none of them directly asked about Sengun. Perhaps Stone could have discussed Sengun when talking about player development, but that question was pretty specifically about Amen and Sheppard.
not interested in anything this dude has to say this year’s postseason loss was so embarrassing, and with all these teams getting better, he basically made marginal moves and stood pat damn, man if Stone was a Transformer, he’d turn into a trash can
Need to see Sengun vs Thornton backup twerk drills from full court. Rockets building a wide booty lineup.
I don't know if the Transformers line was your own. But I'll give a like to one of your "ordinary" posts as a way to give two likes to this one.
I don't know how much of it is Stone or just the organization itself, but it always feels like we are being fed a **** sandwich every time he speaks.
that line was all me…I’m so tired of this clown Stone needs to get thrown out the door…he does nothing and then feeds the fanbase BS, and I’m not hungry anymore
he went onto the air and said whatever they did last year as a front office wasn't good, insane transparency between that and him saying they aren't good enough last year despite people defending it. He took all of Ime's blame onto himself like a bullet shield.
It was a softball interview which is fine. It's not like the play-by-play guys for the Summer League are gonna go after Stone. About the harshest thing they said was at the beginning when they pointed out the Rockets' offseason was longer than they'd hoped(which Stone himself can't exactly dispute). There's not much he can say to change the perception by most fans. The team seems like it's standing pat and running it back which feels like an admission that they know they're not contenders, but they also don't want to hit the reset button in any way(i.e. trading KD). In other words, they're punting to 2027-28.
this man saw us get our ass whipped by ancient, grey beard Lebron and a bunch of castaways and is trying to sell us on Marcus Smart, Obese VanVleet, and Bruce Thornton he better be taking some blame since Ime is always the one catching most of the heat…every lame roster addition is always blamed on Ime you’d swear Stone would have built the 2025 Pacers if Ime didn’t have a gun pressed to his back forcing him to build this mismatched, weak shooting, 1st round exit of a roster
when I heard Stone had tried to extend Victor Oladipo, I said “oh…oh no…we’re fcked” my trust in him cratered from that moment
the FO viewed him as an All Star add. WoW was meant to be a competitive team but atleast they saw it sucked and tanked. I will give him that. The first and only time the front office picked a real direction.
